5 Domestic Complete-Systems What preparation is required? For a domestic house and garden system you will require a dedicated plumbing circuit to the toilet, washing machine and outside tap(s). This is most cost effective when a system is installed in a new build or major renovation. How does it work? Rainwater from your roof is diverted into the underground storage tank, where it is filtered, kept cool and dark for optimum quality. From the full tank the pressure pump (in the tank) pumps water to the outlet places (WC and washing machine). If the tank level is low, it can be manually filled with drinking water. Alternatively an automatic mains water top-up is available as an optional extra. Does it have to be located close to my property? The tank can be located up to 0 m away from the building, due to the high-performance submersible pressure pump diver.
