8 Our C&D waste recycling plants across the world divert more than 6m tonnes of construction, demolition and excavation waste from landfill every year. Our Previous Projects Aruba ATCO Germany Feess Recycling England Sheehan Contractors Norway AF Gruppen India IL&FS Environmental Norway Velde Pukk AS ATCO is a concrete producer located on the island of Aruba and invested in the CDE washing plant in 2013 to produce recycled sand and aggregates for use on their many construction contracts. The recycling of C&D waste has reduced dependency on imported sand and gravel and crushed rock from Venezuela. Feess invested in our advanced processing systems for CD&E waste as part of an EU funded project in 2014 the Eco-Innovation Fund. The fund supports environmental technologies that have been widely adopted in one EU member state but as yet have not been widely adopted across the EU. We were able to run this project with the EU as a result of our extensive experience in the recycling of CD&E waste in the UK market since Sheehan invested in their C&D waste recycling plant in The company is a construction contractor working on local civil engineering contracts and the new CDE washing plant was installed on a new site on the outskirts of Oxford. The washed sand and aggregates from the CDE plant are being used on many of the company s own construction contracts as well as being sold to local contractors. AF Gruppen is one of the largest construction and recycling companies in the Nordic region and invested in a new C&D waste recycling plant in This plant was later upgraded to include a sludge management system in 2014, effectively eliminating waste from the recycling plant. In 2007 IL&FS Environmental invested in the first recycling plant in India at Burari for Delhi Municipal Corporation. With the success of this plant IL&FS commissioned the second CDE recycling plant with a capacity of 500TPD for East Delhi Municipal Corporation. In 2014 we installed a 300tph washing plant for C&D waste in Norway the largest wet processing plant for construction, demolition and excavation waste in Europe.
