2 Descrip(on of the Organiza(on Short information about organisation The Ins'tute of Power Engineering of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova is the main research body with engineering and technology profile in energy domain in the country. It was created in the The ac'vity was focused on following issues: solu'ons to the problems connected to the establishment of the energy system on na'onal scale, as electrifica'on of the agrarian an industrial sectors with balanced use of renewable energy sources available in the country: wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and of irriga'on systems. Actually, the staff of the ins'tute performs research in the frame of two states programs, two bilateral projects and offers advisory support to state bodies in the sense of elabora'on and promo'on of up to date energy polices. The assessment of the poten'al of solar radia'on in Moldova; iden'fica'on of the availability of biomass sources. The par'cipa'on to the accomplishment of monitoring, repor'ng and verifica'on of Na'onal Plan for Ac'ons in energy efficiency; the transposing of EU standards related to solid biofuels toward Moldovan standards. Elabora'on of the energy indicators for the sectors of na'onal economy; the templates of the Energy audits for buildings. Actually - inves'ga'ons on the technical opportuni'es and economics to the subject of integra'on of the pluvial waters in the circuits of consump'on of the public buildings of the municipali'es.
