No, If yes, amount Notes: Summer Peak Demand Incentives (1) The Summer Peak Demand is the demand reduction that occurs consistently between 12 noon and 6 PM on weekdays during the months of June, July, and August. Details are provided in the 2001 SPC Procedures Manual. If your Utility Administrator is PG&E or SCE, the Summer Peak Demand Incentive cannot Calculated and Measured Savings Approaches exceed 20% of the Energy Savings Incentive. Should the estimated Demand Incentive exceed 20% of the Energy Savings, it should be adjusted to 20% of the Measure Type Small Customer Large Customer Energy Savings Incentive. (2) Small Customer projects qualify for a Small Customer Incentive if this is the first SPC project ever for this customer and the Measured Savings approach is Lighting $125/kW $100/kW used. The Small Customer Incentive is equal to the amount of the Energy Savings Incentive from Measured Savings or $2,000, whichever is less. Large HVAC $250/kW $225/kW customers are not eligible for a Small Customer Incentive. (3) The total incentive amount, the sum of the Energy Savings Incentive, Summer Peak Demand Incentive, and Small Customer Incentive, cannot exceed 70% Other $175/kW $150/kW of the Total Measure Cost. Using this approach it is possible to estimate the savings for lighting, HVAC replacement, VSDs for HVAC fans, and air compressor upgrades. If the project is within PG&E's or SCE's service territories, lighting and VSDs for HVAC fans are not eligible for the SPC program, as they are covered as part of the Express Efficiency Program. This calculation process uses the Reference Tables that either came with the forms or are available on the Utility Administrators SPC websites or the SPC2001 CD-ROM. The numbers in these Reference Tables must be used to complete the energy savings calculations; there can be no substitutions. Equipment codes are found in Reference Table 1 (Lighting), Table 3 (HVAC Replacement),Table 5 (HVAC VSD), and Table 6 (Air Compressors). For the HVAC replacement, HVAC fan VSD, and air compressor measures, use the code for the proposed equipment in both the existing and proposed Operating Hours are found in Table 2 (Lighting), Table 3 (HVAC Replacement), Table 5 (VSDs), or Table 7 (Air Compressors). The operating hours are based on the type of facility (all measures) and weather zone (HVAC measures). For air compressors, the operating hours are based on the number of 8-hour shifts per week. For example, if a facility is open 8 AM to 4 PM, 5 days per week, this plant has five shifts per week, or 2,100 hours per year. Table 7 is a chart of the number of shifts per week and the resulting annual operating hours per year. Baseline Energy Usage is determined by multiplying the existing Quantity by existing Demand by existing Hours for each measure. Installed Energy Usage is calculated similarly, using the proposed Quantity, Demand, and Operating Hours. Peak Demand Reduction is the demand reduction that occurs between the hours of 12 noon and 6 PM during the months of June through August. For lighting, HVAC replacement, and air compressor measures, Existing and Proposed Demands can be determined by multiplying the demands by the Quantity. HVAC VSD fans do not qualify for a Peak Demand Reduction. Transfer the results of these calculations to Form 2, 2001 SPC Application-Savings Summary, and attach this form to Form 2.
