Standard Colours PrePhalt is a fully dispersed pigment concentrate especially developed for the asphalt industry. Because of the high colour strength it is possible to use much lest pigment than the conventional colouring procedure. The use of PrePhalt is often more economical than using powder pigments. PrePhalt V-Red PrePhalt W-Blue PrePhalt is the registered name of the pelletized colour concentrate and has the most experience in colouring asphalt worldwide. More than MT of coloured durable asphalt has been produced using PrePhalt. Often copied but never matched, we are still market leader in colouring asphalt. Laboratories and technicians can help you finding the best and most economical way to make beautiful colours in asphalt. PrePhalt is the only method to use bright organic pigments, for example green, blue, violet and red. Because the pigments are dispersed in a polymer they cannot wash out of the bitumen, giving a bright long lasting colour. PrePhalt V-Yellow PrePhalt V-White PrePhalt is: Fully pre dispersed pigment concentrate 100% dust free 100% waterproof, can be stored outside Dosed both manually and fully automatically Based on special EVA polymers, selected for road applications Dosed 3/5 compared to powder pigments Very stable and can be stored for years both in Big-Bags and in Silo s Supported by experienced technicians to give the best support Economical in use compared to powder pigments PrePhalt V-Green DAB 0/8 Red Red Aggregate 2/6 20,3 Red Aggregate 4/8 32,2 Broken Sand 0/2 24,4 Fine Sand 8,1 CaCO 3 Filler 6,1 Baghouse Filler 1,9 Clear Binder 6,1 PrePhalt V-Red 1,0 SMA 0/11 Red Aggregate 2/6 0,0 Red Aggregatef 4/8 33,6 Red Aggregate 8/11 38,9 Sand 0/2 13,4 CaCO3 Filler 5,0 Bitumen 70/100 6,0 PrePhalt V Red 2,8 Cellulose Fibre 0,3 3

Design Colours Exclusive Asphalt Colours Design Colours is a system to develop a colour in an asphalt laboratory with liquid pigment pastes. In this way a colour can be developed in the same way as a artist whom is mixing a colour on his pallet. After the colour is approved it is translated to a PrePhalt pellet and can be applied the same as the standard colours. Design Colours enable an asphalt producer to make unique bright durable colours. PrePhalt is the only product in the market to design a tailor-made colour which meets the requirements of the end user. 4

MBL High Stable Asphalt PrePhalt MBL was the first polymer blend on the market to improve the rheology of the bitumen binder. The first introduction took place on the bus lane in Almere (near Amsterdam, the Netherlands) in 1991 and lasted for over 17 years at the bus stops. PrePhalt MBL was the first asphalt modification in the market which was developed for the purpose of improve bitumen/asphalt behavior and was not limited to the use of predetermined single polymer. During the development of PrePhalt MBL all options/polymers where open which resulted in a blend of several types of EVA in combination with a thermo plastic resin and a Fischer Tropsch wax (the first ever in asphalt industry) all protected by an anti oxidant. Because of this PrePhalt MBL modified asphalt mix will perform much better than a single polymer modified asphalt. PrePhalt MBL is supplied in a pellet and will melt down into bitumen/asphalt within seconds and gives a stable PmB without the need of extra mixing. PrePhalt MBL can be used directly into the batch mixer or into the bitumen tank and can be dosed both manually or fully automatically. Mc Drive 5

SK Low Temperature Asphalt PrePhalt SK is a low temperature additive, with this polymer, it is possible to produce asphalt mixes as low as 120 C in the asphalt plant and approximately 100 C behind the asphalt paver. PrePhalt SK enables the asphalt producer to save energy by lowering the production temperature without the need of extra equipment or special production methods. It can be used at every asphalt plant and it is easier to be produced than foam bitumen. PrePhalt SK will also improve the compatibility at normal asphalt temperatures, it can also be used as a processing aid for difficult to compact asphalt mixes such as SMA. PrePhalt SK is often used in the cold seasons to improve the workability of standard asphalt mixes which cool down rapidly during paving. With only 3%-4% on the bitumen level it is possible to reach the compaction levels even under very cold conditions. For the small jobs far from the production plant, with a lot of man handling the PrePhalt SK is an ideal additive to ensure the proper asphalt paving. Characteristics: reduction of asphalt temperature up to 70 C improves workability of the asphalt mix asphalt transportation over longer distances is possible 30 to 40 C more workability than other FT waxes improves asphalt stability fully recyclable PrePhalt SK in 70/100 Bitumen Viscosity mpa/s Temperature C 10% PrePhalt LT70 3% PrePhalt SK 6

FBK Rejuvenating Asphalt PrePhalt FBK is the result of a five years research program with a asphalt producing company. The aim of the project was to use fewer raw materials that are subject to price increases and shortages. In this program the bitumen was dynamically tested to see if it was possible to upgrade the aged bitumen back to the original properties. Also the use of bitumen donors (shingles) was part of the research. During extensive production trails PrePhalt FBK showed asphaltene stabilizing behavior, malthenes have a similar effect. This behaviour is likely slowing down the physical hardening and thus slowing the aging process. PrePhalt FBK is based on 100% natural resins and is not competing with the food chain. Using reclaimed asphalt will not only save substantial on the carbon footprint, but is also economically very profitable. The whole PrePhalt FBK system can be installed turnkey. At the moment PrePhalt FBK is one of the most thoroughly tested rejuvenator method on the market and was tested on different locations years before it was introduced on the market. Both PrePhalt FBK and the application method (ML-TRAC) are patented. Yet to date more than MT of recycled asphalt are produced using PrePhalt FBK, in recycle levels varying from 60% to 100%. PrePhalt FBK is technically supported by skilled technicians and asphalt laboratories with the latest test equipment. Not only because PrePhalt FBK is based on renewable raw materials which not compete with the food production but also because of the use of reclaimed materials and thus needing less virgin raw materials. Less new materials will save energy. For every truckload of reclaimed asphalt which will be recycled 2 tons of CO 2 will be saved. In Europe this can result in saving 1,5 million tons of CO 2. 11
