Head Technology 3M Water Filtration leads the industry in the development of sanitary quick change SQC cartridges and Valve in Head technology. The SQC cartridge design ensures that filters are changed rapidly and in a sanitary way. Media Technology 3M Water Filtration s experience in manufacturing and combining many different filter media types provides customers with the optimum solutions to their water filtration problems. Our range of slim-line filter products use a graded density carbon block that traps large particles on the surface and finer particles through the media depth for a long service life. Through the use of this proprietary 3M Water Filtration media, this range of compact filters is able to enhance taste and reduce odour, chlorine, lead, dangerous cysts and control the formation of scale. 3M Filtration Carbon Block Technology IMPACT Technology New innovative combinations of proprietary membranes with carbon blocks offer the ability to reduce bacteria. Utilising a hollow fibre membrane inside the carbon block allows bacteria reduction claims similar to an ultraviolet without the issues related with maintaining a UV system e.g. electricity and cleaning glass inserts. New Impact cartridges offer market leading sediment removal and life, with extended claim sets including bacterial reduction. Integrated Membrane Pre-Activated Carbon Technology media combines a high surface area pleated media and pre-activated carbon block in a single cartridge to dramatically reduce pressure drop, provide higher throughputs and longer cartridge life, while eliminating the need for pre-filtration. Some of these are detailed below: Sediment, Taste and Odour Control For reduction of sediment and enhancement of the overall clarity of recipe, or ingredient water, 3M Water Filtration offers premium filter cartridges combined with high adsorption carbon systems to effectively remove chlorine, bad taste and odours. VOCs (Volatile Organic Carbons) and Lead VOCs and lead using proprietary media used with our carbon block technology give market leading claims. Cyst Reduction 3M Water Filtration cartridges have innovative sub-micron filter systems to reduce harmful cysts (Cryptosporidium and Giardia) and fine sediment. The premium blend of high adsorption activated carbon combined with the graded-density/asymmetric media provide high efficiency and long life. High Dissolved Solids Content Scale Control The detrimental effect of scaling, for example, in coffee, vending and ice machines, goes beyond degrading beverage taste and presentation, since it reduces the life expectancy of these machines. 3M Water Filtration offers both scale inhibition and scale control products. Scale inhibition products utilise proprietary food grade polyphosphates, to slow down scale formation.
