5 China RoHS 2 Catalogue - Requirements Products listed must comply with substance restrictions contained in the relevant national and industrial standards Products used as a component or part of another product outside the scope of the Catalogue Conformity assessment system established under Article 18 of China RoHS 2

6 Exemption List 39 uses of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury and Hexavalent Chromium in electrical and electronic products Unlike EU counterpart, only one exemption in this list has an expiration date The Exemption List is only applicable to products during the conformity assessment Both Catalogue and Exemption List will take effect on 12 March 2019

8 Announcement No.10 Announcement No.10 on Reform of Compulsory Product Certification Mark Process From 20 March 2018, the CCC Mark will no longer be subdivided into the following specific categories: - Safety products (S) - Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC - Safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility (S&E) - Firefighting (F), and - Information Security (IT)

9 Announcement No. 10 (continued) Accredited companies may print and mould the CCC mark on their own Responsibility for the examination and issuance of the marks is transferred from the designated mark issuing agency to the designated certification bodies as of 1 June 2018 Revised Administrative Rules on Applying CCC Mark and contact information on a list of designated certification bodies are attached to the Announcement

10 Announcement No. 11 Announcement No. 11 on Reform of Compulsory Certification Product List and Implementation Measures Three Annexes: - Annex 1: List of Products No Longer Subject to Compulsory Certification (26 products) - Annex 2: List of Products which May Adopt Self-declaration (21 products) - Annex 3 - Implementation Measures for Self-declaration From 11 June 2018, products listed in Annex 1 are no longer subject to compulsory certification From 1 October 2018, manufacturers of products listed in Annex 2 may choose self-declaration in accordance with the implementation rules set out in Annex 3.

15 Mandatory National Standards on Product Energy Efficiency Draft Standard on Technical Requirements for Environmental Labelling of Range Hood The draft proposes requirements on ecodesign, hazardous chemical substance restrictions during manufacturing and product packaging, energy efficiency requirements, marking and labelling, product manual, and testing methods Draft Standard on Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Air Purifiers The draft proposes the minimum values of energy efficiency and energy grades, testing methods and calculation methods

16 Hermetic Motor Compressors in Room Air Conditioners Standard GB on Energy Efficiency of Hermetic Motor Compressors in Room Air Conditioners The standard establishes minimum allowable energy efficiency values and energy efficiency grades, testing methods, and product inspection rules.

19 Amendment to the Imported Solid Waste Catalogue Published on 13 April 2018 Ban on import of 32 types of solid waste 16 types of solid waste to be banned from import beginning 31 December 2018 including - Compressed car scrap Scrap ships Plastics rejected from factory processes PET bottles Steel-based waste of hardware appliances Aluminium-based wire waste Copper-based waste of electric power products

20 Solid Waste Banned From Import 16 types of solid waste will be banned from import beginning 31 December 2019 including - Wood waste - Stainless steel scrap - Tungsten scrap - Magnesium waste and scrap - Titanium and zirconium scrap

21 Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste Law Draft revision was published on 11 July 2018 Main amendments focus on the following matters: - Prevention of secondary pollution during solid waste recycling and reuse in the products - Reduction in the volume of landfill waste by reducing solid waste and increase recycling - Strengthening the responsibility of waste producers and establishing a solid waste discharge license system - Extension of the manufacturer s responsibility - Reform on solid waste import, in particular foreign waste import - Establishing domestic waste sorting system - Improving hazardous waste management systems - Stricter penalties
