If a plant is designed correctly and is not over challenged with either amount of water being treated or load in the water being treated they usually do not need our assistance on the organic digestion side. 2. 41 Excessive Algae Growth On Weirs Algae Algae The excessive algae increases the amount of solids that need to be removed from the water. The problem is when the amount of algae gets to this level, it breaks off into the water and becomes solids that have to be removed.
