3 Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Product as sold does not present an explosion hazard. Dust created from sawing, sanding or machining activities may create an explosion hazard under certain conditions. Depending on moisture content, and more importantly, particle diameter and airborne concentration, dust in a contained area may explode in the presence of an ignition source. Ventilation systems should be kept clean and precautions should be taken to prevent sparks or other ignition sources. 6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Containment Procedures None necessary. Clean-up Procedures No special procedures for intact product. Where there is dust or small pieces from product, sweep or vacuum up for recovery and disposal. Avoid creating dusty conditions. Maintain good housekeeping to avoid accumulation of dried dust on surfaces. Dried dust may pose a combustible dust hazard. Recovered dust may be disposed of in landfill. Evacuation Procedures None necessary. 6 HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling Procedures No specific usage precautions required. Follow normal good hygiene practices. Protect exposed skin from cuts and abrasions. Storage Requirements Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Trace amounts of formaldehyde may be released during shipment and/or storage. 8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Exposure Guidelines for components Component Exposure Limits Wood fiber (as wood dust)* OSHA PEL 5 mg/m3 Respirable dust TWA 15 mg/m3 Total dust TWA ACGIH TLV 1 mg/m3 TWA 1 mg/m3 TWA NIOSH 1 mg/m3 TWA * This product is manufactured from wood products. Fabrication of this product may produce wood dust. Consult local authorities and regulations for exposure limits. Page 3 of 7 Issue Date: 11/20/12 Revision: 1.000

4 Engineering Controls No special ventilation requirements for product as sold. Provide adequate ventilation to meet exposure guidelines if sawing, sanding or machining generates dust or chips. Ventilation to control dust should be considered where potential explosive concentrations may be generated and ignition sources are present. Protective Equipment Eyes/Face: Goggles or safety glasses are recommended when excessive exposures to the dust may be generated, such as clean up after sawing, sanding or machining. Skin: Not required. However, cloth, canvas, or leather gloves are recommended to minimize potential slivers of mechanical irritation from handling the product. Respiratory: When ventilation is not adequate, wear a NIOSH approved/certified respirator with an appropriate particulate dust filter. Wear safety glasses with side shields during installation operations that may product dust of chips. 9 PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES Appearance: Solid sheets, planks, tiles of various decorative colors and patterns Physical State: Solid Vapor Pressure: Not Applicable Boiling Point : Not Applicable Solubility (H2O): Insoluble Melting Point: Not Determined Flash Point: Not Applicable Upper Not Applicable Flammability Limit: Auto Ignition: Not Applicable Odor: None ph: Not Applicable Vapor Density: Not Determined Melting Point: Not Determined Specific Gravity: Varies Evaporation Rate: Not Determined VOC: Not Determined Flash Point Method: Not Applicable Lower Flammability Not Applicable Limit: 10 STABILITY AND REACTIVITY INFORMATION Stability Product is stable as supplied Conditions to Avoid None Materials to Avoid (incompatibility) None Hazardous Decomposition Products Thermal decomposition (i.e., smoldering, burning) products include carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxides of nitrogen, aliphatic aldehydes, terpenes, and Page 4 of 7 Issue Date: 11/20/12 Revision: 1.000
