12 Components of SWITCH-Asia: National Policy Support National Policy Support Components (NPSC) are supporting governments in developing and deploying targeted SCP policies for their countries Currently four National Policy Support Components are installed: Indonesia Malaysia Philippines Thailand Two additional NPSCs are planned: Bangladesh Sri Lanka 12

13 Components of SWITCH-Asia: Regional Policy Support A Regional Policy Support Component is implemented in cooperation with UNEP from Bangkok serving governments beyond NPSCs and working with regional bodies like ASEAN and SARC as well with regional organisations like the Asia Pacific Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production 13

15 SWITCH-Asia Phase II "Agenda for Change" Communication: COM(2011) 637 final Focus is still on eliminating poverty and achieving Millennium Development Goals Thematic focus eventually reflecting 10 Year Framework of programmes on SCP: Consumer information; Sustainable lifestyles and education; Sustainable public procurement; Sustainable buildings and construction; Sustainable tourism, including ecotourism. Eventually: Currently a Programme on Agriculture and Food is proposed. 15
