Those resources have been refocused on TPO, which offers our customers a more environmentally friendly thermoplastic membrane. Already, our commitment to TPO has proven influential. One major retail customer noted the positive impact of their Firestone-provided TPO roofing. So they made a decision of their own to phase out PVC on their roofs. help promote efficient, sustainable building practices. We stand behind our products longevity with confidence. The long-term impact of performance: Firestone roofing and insulation We re proud of the role that Firestone roofing products play in environmental protection. Our EDPM, TPO and asphalt systems are designed to enhance the energy efficiency of the buildings they cover. Ultimately, what s good for a building is good for the environment. A water-resistant roof keeps the insulation dry. And dry insulation results in superior thermal performance which keeps down energy consumption and costs. All of this conservation adds up. The less energy a building consumes, the less demand it places on natural resources such as coal, oil and gas.
