HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION Classification of the Substance: No ingredients present at levels leading to a classification of hazardous under the Chemicals (Hazard Information & Packaging) Regulations (CHIP). Products are of low toxicity but prolonged skin or eye contact can cause some irritation 3. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS Preparation: Grey coated grass seed and green coated grass seed with added granular fertiliser This product does not contain any hazardous ingredients in accordance to EU Regulations or National regulations. 25 November 2013 Version 1.0 Page 1 of 6

2 4. FIRST AID MEASURES Skin Contact: Wash with soap and water following skin contact Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses and continue flushing. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing Ingestion: Inhalation: Do not induce vomiting. Give milk or water to drink. Large quantities may give rise to gastrointestinal disorders. Obtain medical attention if more than small quantities have been swallowed Move the exposed individual from the area to fresh air. If any discomfort persists after following the above advice seek immediate medical attention. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Although this product is not classified as flammable it should be remembered that any dust in sufficient concentration in air can present a fire or explosion hazard. In the event of a fire: Use water, foam, or dry powder fire extinguishers except when in the presence of live electrical conductors. If live electrical conductors are present, use only a CO 2 fire extinguisher. Avoid breathing the fumes. Wear an approved self contained breathing apparatus when fighting a fire or when fumes are being emitted. If significant amounts of this product are allowed to enter drain systems during fire fighting operations, the relevant Sewage Company and/or Local Authority should be informed immediately. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Clean up spillages and place in appropriately labeled container. Wash contaminated area with water. Do not allow to mix with combustible or organic substances. Heavy spillage may cause adverse environmental impact such as eutrophication in confined surface waters If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities. 25 November 2013 Version 1.0 Page 2 of 6

3 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling Storage The generation of excessive amounts of dust should be avoided when handling this product. Avoid prolonged contact with skin Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash exposed skin with soap and water after using and before eating. Avoid contamination with materials such as diesel oil, grease and other combustible materials. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated environment. Locate away from sources of heat, fire or explosion Keep away from combustible materials and chemical substances Do not store near food or drink. Good housekeeping practices apply. The product will absorb moisture if exposed to air, replace lids when not in use. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION Work Place Exposure Limits specify for dust (HSE): Exposure Controls Engineering Measures: TWA 10 mg/m 3 (inhalable) TWA 4 mg/m 3 (respirable) Containment and/or segregation are the most reliable technical protection measures if exposure cannot be eliminated. The extent of these protection measures depends on the actual risks in use. If airborne dust is generated, use local exhaust ventilation controls. Assess exposure and use any additional measures to keep airborne levels below any relevant exposure limit. Where necessary, seek additional occupational hygiene advice. Protective Measures: Respiratory Protection: Hand Protection: Eye Protection: The use of technical measures should always have priority over the use of personal protective equipment When selecting personal protective equipment, seek appropriate professional advice. Personal protective equipment should be certified to appropriate standards No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. Phosphates are translocated in the soil over short distances and are then immobilized.
