1 Abstract Submission Presenter Name: Ghassan Majdalani Organization: Resource Solutions Group Department: Outreach Phone: x 3023 Abstract Title: Improve your Financial Health with Energy Efficiency Abstract Description: As a representative of the Nicor Gas Energy Efficiency Program, Ghassan Majdalani will share how energy efficiency improvements can save natural gas, significantly lowering utility bills and operating costs. Mr. Majdalani will share financial incentives available to offset the first cost of natural gas- saving improvements, and provide examples of local healthcare facilities that have lowered their patient care costs through improvements such as replacing steam traps, burner retro- fit projects, and different types of heat recovery projects. The objective of this presentation will be to educate the participants on past experiences and success stories, available resources (rebate incentives, free audits, financing options), and best practices in healthcare. Participants will learn how to analyze energy savings, review simple payback estimates, and understand how that correlates to operating expenses, net operating income and profitability. Ghassan Majdalani is an Outreach Associate with Resource Solutions Group, an environmental consulting firm specializing in the design and implementation of energy efficiency programs for utilities. As the program implementer for the Nicor Gas Business Energy Efficiency Rebate Program and the Business Custom Incentive Program, Resource Solutions Group brings a cost effective program design, technical knowledge, and effective strategic planning to utility energy efficiency programs nationwide.
