The program provides vocational training in drinking water and wastewater treatment technology. The classes are a combination of classroom and hands-on training using the one-of-a-kind 30,000 gallon per day training-scale wastewater and drinking water treatment plants. Upon completion, the students are eligible to take their Illinois and Missouri certification exams for public water supply and wastewater treatment system operations. ERTC has been providing education for professionals in the water industry for over 35 years. Since 2012 the training center has placed more than 80 percent of its students. Come visit one of the best kept training secrets in Illinois. Our one-of-a-kind Water and Wastewater Technology Training Center one-year program begins August 21 st, so individuals interested in attending should apply soon. Class sizes are limited. The Environmental Resources Training Center is located on the beautiful campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville next to the 120 feet tall wind turbine.
