2 Symbls The fllwing symbls are used n the PrBench and in this manual. General Cautin: User shuld use care t avid pssible damage t equipment. 1 Intrductin The PrBench Infiltratin Statin prvides a cnvenient space t infiltrate parts printed n PrJet x60 series 3D printers. This bench prvides nt nly a large wrk surface, but als fume and dr cntrl using dwndraft airflw and 2 stages f filtratin. It is intended t be used nly with 3D Systems ClrBnd r StrengthMax infiltrants. CAUTION PrBench is fr use with ClrBnd r StrengthMax nly; d nt use with any ther Infiltrants; d nt uses with spray paint f any kind r with any flammable sprays. ATTENTION PrBench est à utiliser avec le ClrBnd u StrengthMax seulement. Ne pas utiliser avec n'imprte quel autre infiltrants. 3 1.1 Preparatin Befre using the PrBench fr infiltrating parts, d the fllwing: Cllect yur safety equipment Safety glasses Glves Cat r ther prtective clthing Put dwn prtective paper Cver a sectin f the grate with nn-stick paper r plastic. Be sure t leave plenty f pen area fr airflw. Gather yur infiltratin supplies 1.2 Infiltratin ClrBnd r StrengthMax Infiltrant Plenty f paper twels 1. Plug in PrBench and turn n pwer (pwer switch is lcated n the right side f the Base). 2. Infiltrate yur parts fllwing the directins in the User Guide fr yur Infiltrant StrengthMax User Guide lcated in 3dscentral.3dsystems.cm ClrBnd User Guide lcated in 3dscentral.3dsystems.cm 3. If any Infiltrant drips nt expsed areas f PrBench, wipe up immediately with paper twels. If Infiltrant has spilled and dripped dwn thrugh the grates, remve the grates and clean up with paper twels befre the Infiltrant cures. 4. Leave parts and siled paper twels and glves inside the PrBench. 5. Allw the PrBench t cntinue running until the parts have fully cured: ClrBnd: abut ne hur after the parts have been infiltrated. StrengthMax: abut 2 hurs after the parts have been infiltrated. 1.3 Clean Up Once the Infiltrant has cured, any glves, paper twels r ther siled items can be dispsed f in the trash. 2 Maintenance Yur PrBench requires n regular mechanical maintenance ther than cleaning, and replacing the tw dispsable air filters. The air filters are lcated underneath the remvable grates. 2.1 Cleaning As needed, wipe yur PrBench with a damp clth t remve dust and ther debris. 2

4 2.2 Replacing the Filters The filters shuld be replaced n the fllwing schedule: Pre-filter (PN: ): Apprximately every 3 mnths r when airflw nticeably decreases. Carbn filter (PN: ): Apprximately every 3 mnths, r when drs near the unit nticeably increase. Filters are available frm yur authrized lcal reseller. T replace the filters: 1. Turn PrBench OFF. 2. Remve the grates. 3. Remve the ld filters and discard. 4. Install the new filters in the Base. 5. 5 4 Initial Installatin The PrBench is shipped partly assembled. Open the cartn carefully and remve the cmpnents. Remve any packing material arund the cmpnents. 4.1 What s Included The PrBench has tw main cmpnents: the Base and the Hd. Included in yur PrBench shipment are the fllwing: Base Hd Filters (1 pre-filter, 1 carbn filter) Grates Paper twel hlder (magnetic) Pwer crd (100V mdel nly) V transfrmer 4.2 Assembly Assembling yur new PrBench is quick and easy. Just fllw these steps: 1. Place Base right side up n the flr. 4

6 2. Install bth filters int the hlders in the Base. Install the carbn filter first, and then the pre-filter. It is imprtant that the pre-filter be abve the carbn filter when they are installed. 3. Put the grates in place. 5

7 4. Place the Hd n tp f the Base. Be sure the Hd fits int the munting clips n the Base. 5. Attach the paper twel dispenser as shwn r in any cnvenient lcatin. 6. Attach the pwer crd. 6
