3 INTRODUCTION Asara (Pty) Ltd is an emerging engineering, procurement, construction management and maintenance company that offers authentic, high-value solutions to optimise client projects. Through global partnerships it intends to offer complete solutions in the EPCM. These solutions are delivered consistently, using innovative approaches, current business information and best-practice methodologies. Using its in depth local knowledge, it intends to provide full support to global EPCM companies doing business in Africa, especially Southern Africa. We engage in on-going participation in advanced research and development. Our workings involve the application of science within the boundaries of economics to deliver financially sustainable solutions. South Africa has been undertaking many new massive infrastructure projects and will continue over the next 20 years. A key element of this build program would be to ensure that clients receive the agreed quality of product and service in terms of product, construction, commissioning as per specifications from national and international suppliers of products and services. The four core values constantly guiding us are innovation, professionalism, excellence and partnerships. Our Vision To engage the world s best expertise to provide specialist and professional engineering solutions and to be the preferred and trusted partner globally. Mission Statement The aim of Asara is to participate actively in the mainstream South African and African capital expansion. Asara has all the pre-requisite technical and management skills and local knowledge to develop the capacity to offer a world-class EPCM solution in South Africa and Africa. Asara s initial intent is to partner with world leaders in EPCM to strengthen its knowledge base, expertise and future development. We focus on cost effectiveness and added value by using engineering methods that minimize the expenditure of capital and maximize the return on investment, adding value through innovation and experience. We are expanding our scope of work from purely SHEQ to EPCM projects, utilizing the client satisfaction that was achieved on current projects. Page 3 of 7

4 BBBEE We have achieved a level three BBBEE status, and we fully support the BBBEE Act and the Codes of Good Practice listed therein. Business Overview Expert Services On and Off- Site Training Asara Project Development Consultancy and Expert Advisory Services and Products Consultancy and Expert Advisory We intend managing large engineering projects as well as personnel involved in the projects. For our projects, quality and safe working is not negotiable and ZERO ACCIDENT is always an expected business result. Expert Services We cover the full spectrum of Power Generation, Power Transmission extending from Extra and Ultra High Voltage AC and DC Electrical Technology to Flexible AC Transmission systems, Power Delivery extending from Urban Distribution and Reticulation Power Delivery to Rural Electrification and Single Wire Earth Return Systems. We intend offering a full construction contracting service on major EPC projects. Through international partnership, this is expected to grow in line with Skill Development and Localisation of our resources. Page 4 of 7

5 Project Development We intend getting involved from concept to commissioning; including maintenance and refurbishment. Provide on-site and off-site training We intend providing Tailor-made training programmes to suite the client s needs. We have basic Technical training for students & less experienced persons, SHEQ Training, Audits & Inspection Trainings and preparation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, & OHSAS Key Attributes Our key members hold professional qualifications both locally and internationally. Highly experienced professional engineers specialising in Infrastructure, Power generation and transmission, Construction, Roads, Railways, Water and Sanitation, Mines, Refineries, Renewables etc. Experts in Planning, Design, Operations, Maintenance, Protection, Control, Metering, Refurbishment, Decommissioning and Electrical Safety. Asara Consultants a sister company to Asara has already undertaken several multi-million dollar projects that include SHEQ services in South Africa, with vast experience in, Facilitation, Audit and Training. Expert knowledge in OHS (Occupation Health & Safety) legislation and NEMA (National Environmental Management Act). Access to all the training / quality assurance governing bodies, ensuring we keep abreast of any new developments.
