1 Ref : HRF013 POSITION DESCRIPTION Issue No. : 3 Date: Sep 2018 Position Title: Division: Department: Corporate Partnerships Executive Programming, Development & Venue Sales Development Classification / Level: Job Grade 9 Ordinary working hours & days: Reporting to: Positions reporting to this role: Working hours will average 37.5 ordinary hours, between Monday to Friday. The requirement for a reasonable amount of overtime (5-7 hours per week) has been taken into consideration in the determination of this salary level. Some out of hours work will be required on weekends and evenings. Intrastate and Interstate travel may be required and some out of office hours work will be required on a regular basis Adelaide Festival Centre is central to the Arts in South Australia and an integral part of community life in the state. We celebrate and showcase Australian artistic achievements, develop them for a world audience and bring stimulating ideas and projects to our state.

2 Department Overview Summary of Key Purpose: The mission of the Development Department is to actively source supporters and create opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships that fund Adelaide Festival Centre programs, to use best practice to manage those partnerships cost effectively and to generate pride and ownership in the department's success internally and externally through effective communication. To manage and support the fundraising efforts of the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation. To increase sponsorship revenue from businesses and community groups in order that Adelaide Festival Centre growth objectives are achieved. To create relationships within all segments of the business community and to make compelling sponsorship proposals that achieve revenue and profit targets.

3 Key Result Area / Accountabilities: Identify and develop corporate entertaining opportunities for a variety of festivals, programs and oneoff events. Identify and develop mutually beneficial cash and in-kind partnerships for the Adelaide Festival Centre and a variety of festivals, programs and one-off events. Be accountable for and achieve individual targets pre-determined by the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Be responsible for account managing a portfolio of corporate partners across the Adelaide Festival Centre. Successfully achieve individual servicing budgets for corporate hospitality clients, Adelaide Festival Centre partnerships, festival partnerships, events and activities. Establish and maintain proactive working relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, partners, State & Federal Government and community groups Work with Development Team on the development and delivery of Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation events Work with key Development, Food and Beverage, Programming and Marketing & Communication staff to develop the corporate hospitality and sponsorship proposals to fit with the mutual objectives of the business or corporate and Adelaide Festival Centre. Work with Development and Marketing & Communications staff to present proposals to prospects and secure signed contracts for cash and in-kind partnerships. Create compelling pitch materials such as proposals and related documents/collateral that will influence and inspire potential partners Conduct research on all current and prospective corporate sponsors Identify, develop and deliver ways to promote opportunities for partnerships (including Corporate Hospitality and Sponsorship) at the Adelaide Festival Centre to prospects, including networking at events, marketing collateral. Contact key vendors and prospects with a goal of creating sponsorship packages that are specific to the client's business development requirements and strategic goals. Successfully close deals and convert prospects into clients. Negotiate sponsorship contracts in accordance with AFCT Legal, Development, Marketing & Communications and Programming criteria. Work with Development Team to ensure that 100% agreed corporate partnership benefits are delivered by the Adelaide Festival Centre in a timely manner, and that partnership payments are received as agreed. This includes but is not limited to: Coordinating corporate branding Event planning Ticketing Exploring opportunities to leverage partnerships. Work closely with Marketing & Communications and Programming Department to achieve partnership outcomes. Compile written reports, as necessary, to all corporate partners on their partnership investment and

4 benefits provided by Adelaide Festival Centre, after receiving internal and external feedback. Work with Marketing & Communications on creative cross-promotional campaigns and events for corporate partners, and ensure that promotional and visual concepts are consistent with Adelaide Festival Centre s media and publicity guidelines. Provide outstanding customer service on a daily basis by demonstrating respect, listening to and working with our customers, both internal and external, to achieve positive outcomes, where possible, for all involved. Perform any other duties as directed by the Manager, within level of skills, experience and competence. At all times behave in a manner which is conducive to the values and expected behaviours at the Festival Centre. Demonstrate appropriate behavior and adhere to AFCT s policies and procedures in relation to EEO and the prevention of Bullying and Sexual Harassment in the workplace Comply with all AFCT policies & procedures not limited to WH&S and Records Management. EBMS (Event Business Management System) Employees are responsible for ensuring that they attend compulsory EBMS Training and seek further EBMS Training as needed to perform their role. Accurately record contacts and status of new corporate/community relationships within the EBMS database. Work Health & Safety Responsibilities (WH&S) Care for your own and others health and safety. Comply with any reasonable instruction from the department, so far as you are reasonably able. Cooperate with all reasonable departmental policies and procedures. Comply with the WHS legislation. Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed. Use other safety and emergency equipment provided in the workplace. Assist with and conduct risk assessments. Report a hazard, incident, injury or illness arising from workplace activities within 24 hours. Implement WHS policies, procedures and safe systems of work.

5 Key Competencies: Requirement Qualifications / Education Tertiary qualifications in Sales, Marketing or a Business related field. Highly Desirable Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Strong negotiation skills and ability to close a sale. Excellent standard of presentation and communication. Be a go-getter with the ability to work in a very autonomous environment. An enthusiastic, consultative team-building style with the ability to accept responsibility for making decisions. A proactive, enthusiastic, collaborative and resultsorientated focus. Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills. The ability to achieve financial targets and meet deadlines. An understanding of business ethics and procedures. A high degree of computer literacy in MS Office suite Driver s licence. A passion for the arts. Established networks and communication channels within both the local and national corporate sectors. Highly desirable Experience A strong understanding of and experience with meeting sales objectives. Experience preparing and presenting business case propositions. Previous successful sales, sponsorship or fundraising experience and knowledge of marketing principals. Experience with the preparation of grant applications, sales proposals or similar.
