7 TO: FROM: Whom it may concern Denise A. Merrell, Professor Jefferson Community and Technical College DATE: November 5th, 2010 RE: Recommendation for Colby Young Mills Ms. Mills very successfully completed a Records and Database Management course that I taught online during the Fall 2008 semester. Not only did she earn an A in the course, but she also finished the course six weeks early. The Records and Database Management course covers all aspects of records information management, from the creation of paper and electronic records to their proper disposal. Included in the course are industry standard rules for alphabetic, numeric, and geographic coding and filing, and Microsoft Access 2007 is the database software used for the creation and management of electronic records. Based on Ms. Mills outstanding performance in this course, I have no reservations in recommending her for a position involving commitment, people, records information management, and any other task she puts her mind to.

10 October 29, Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing this letter concerning the possible employment of Colby Young Mills in your office. Although I do not personally know Colby, I have had her in an online class Document formatting and Word Processing. This class provides much word processing experience using industry standard software. She has been a very responsible student. For an online class, a student must be very motivated in order to get assignments completed and submitted on time. Also, an online student may have to display extra initiative in learning how to do a task because there is not always an instructor there to ask. Colby has done both. Colby will complete my class successfully. I would like to have many more students like her. I feel that she would be an asset to your office staff. Sincerely, Sharon Caudill, Professor Henderson Community College
