Program Overview Investing in Women (see is a dynamic and innovative gender equality initiative funded by DFAT. Investing in Women seeks to empower women economically in South East Asia with the understanding that this will contribute to continued inclusive economic growth in the region. Investing in Women aims to achieve this through catalysing greater: 1) Workplace gender equity; 2) Investments in women s small and medium enterprises; 3) Removal of policy and regulatory barriers to women s economic empowerment; and 4) Advocacy efforts in the region for women s economic empowerment. 4 Duty Statement: Ensure the efficient, effective and timely operational capacity of the Investing in Women project through management of the day to day operations of the program office; managing the daily work of the Office and HR Manager, IT Manager and Travel, Logistics and Administration Officer; providing support to key events; and providing support to report and deliverable preparation. Specific Duties: Support delivery of strategy and work plans by implementing and effectively managing administrative and operational functions. This will require working closely with the Investing in Women technical team to understand their operational needs and deliver responsive services. Core Competencies: Be responsible for the Investing in Women s Operations Manual and supporting documents by ensuring all operational and administrative policies and procedures are consistent with DFAT, Abt and Philippines requirements, documented, continuously improved and adhered to. Work closely with Australian-based Abt offices to ensure seamless, whole of company approaches to provision of operational support to the project. Work with the Office and HR Manager, IT Manager and Travel, Logistics and Administration Officer to develop prioritised work plans, reallocate resources amongst the team as required and track and drive delivery. Support the recruitment, selection, placement, orientation and performance management of personnel across the program. Provide management support to the finance and procurement team, processes and functions as required. Oversee office and operations related procurement and contractors. Responsible for the Investing in Women s Safety and Security Manual and its implementation. Preparation of contractual deliverables, documents and other reports as required by the Operations Director. Provision of continual improvement, risk, fraud, VFM management and child protection systems and process. Responsible for the management of project audits. Ensure a customer service orientation to the unit s primary client (DFAT) and the Investing in Women components. Act in the role of Operations Director during her absence. Finance, HR, legal, procurement, event management, international development or related skills or experience may be an advantage. 5 Key Selection Criteria For your application to be considered by the panel, interested applicants must submit a response to each of the following Key Selection Criteria, as well as salary expectations. KSC 1. Successful experience in similar role. KSC 2. KSC 3. Proven ability to develop and implement quality assured business administration strategies, systems and procedures. Proven management experience obtained in the Philippines. KSC 4. Understanding of donor funded development project cycles and implementation requirements. KSC 5. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships. Desirable KSC 6. Working experience in Indonesia, Myanmar and / or Vietnam.
