3 Statement on Use of PathPerfect Career Analysis 1 Statement Chinmaya brain links has a signature program for career assessment and analysis called Path Perfect. PathPerfect is a conglomeration of analysis tests used to guide best in the career choice. It is a test composed of baseline assessment, interest or passion assessment, value assessment and NBI Neethling brain inventory assessment. It is a intellectual property of Chinmaya brain links. Chinmaya brain links is certified to use NBI for the assessment. NBI is categorized under psychometric analysis and testing. 2 Background Psychometric tests are complex tools that are designed to assess people and measure the differences between individuals. They are designed and developed in such a way they can be shown to measure what they claim to measure with a reasonable degree of accuracy. They are objective, standardised instruments that achieve this precision by using well-controlled, uniform methods of administration and scoring. Neethling inventory has been tested and studied in over thousands of people globally. Ongoing research is continuing. The statistical results seem to give fairly strong support for both the validity and reliability of the NBI. 3 Scope The test is used for students 8 th grade and above for helping them decide career choices. It is by no means a whole and sole decisive test, however aids in clearing many factors impacting a career choice, like the personality, behavior, attitude, dimensions of thinking, values and interests. It is by no means complete without appropriate consultation by the coach. It is also available for adults helping them steer their career or widen their horizons of career. 4 Test Format The test is conducted online, it is also available on request as a pen-paper test. The test has no right or wrong answers. You are about to take the PathPerfect assessment- Career which would assess your brain design, passion and values. It will take you around minutes to finish the test. Try to complete the test in a single attempt. You need to simply click against the right options. The test requires no difficult calculations or reasoning, so just relax and take the test!!! Please do not take help of anyone and also try and do the test in one go. Try to avoid taking breaks as you do the test. You shall not need any calculator or any other thing apart from a good speed internet, you may also do the test on your mobile, but it is preferable to do on laptop or desktop so as to get a good resolution and uninterrupted view of the test. 4 5 Appropriate use of test The PathPerfect analysis test can be used to support personal development; team building; careers counselling; and, also for self-motivation. The test is however not a fortune cookie predicting accurately the career choice. The results are evaluated with the personal interview as per Coach s guidelines. A firm reply to any of these questions is sought not guaranteed The subjects best suited Curriculum best suited for the brain design The career that suits the best Whether suited for Job/Business If one can lead in the future If one can perform under pressure Whether career steer is necessary for a graduate/ adult How best does one communicate? 6 Technical information on psychometric test A properly constructed psychometric test is accompanied by information on the test s technical properties. This is contained in the test s technical manual, which is provided by the test supplier. It includes statistical data indicating the test s validity and reliability; information relating to the procedures to be followed for the test s administration, scoring and interpretation; and norm tables containing the scores of individuals from comparable groups to those to which the test will be given. We do provide that on request of the individual test taker. The report also has some basic explanation of the Neethling brain inventory. On request, we can provide materials pertaining to the test free of charge. 7 Coaching Coaching is must after the report is obtained, we have certified coaches globally who can guide in the process of career selection. Please note the test does not include vocational guidance or support which must be individually done by the parents or students. We do not support any universities or courses, we purely provide data based on the best career suited to a person upon the assessment of the pathperfect analysis. Any guidance given during the session or mentioned on the report is not considered only career choice or final choice. One needs to thoroughly go through it, understand and take an individual decision and call. The coach cannot be personally claimed for any discrepancy in understanding nor the pathperfect analysis test be blamed for such misunderstanding. Also, the management of Chinmaya brain links or its directors/shareholders are not liable for any mishappening derived from the failed understanding of the candidate taking the test or any of the candidate s relatives attending the session. The guidance given is purely based on Coach s understanding and ability of various career choices. 5 failures arising from the career choices narrated by the report, shall not be liable for any penal action towards the test authority or founders. 8 Test Instructions The suppliers of tests provide detailed instructions for their use in the technical manual that accompanies the test. The data shall be handed over as a report to the candidate, however the company can hold the data to present the same in various conferences or meetings for the purpose of learning. It is very clearly to be read and understood before proceeding to pay for the test. The test payments are made by various modes as suggested on the test website. The company takes no obligation for errors arising out of third party payment gateway errors. 6 from the same, however company does ensure best standards of security used to protect the privacy information. 11 Test Results Test results should always be interpreted by a properly trained person in the context of clearly defined criteria and in compliance with the requirements and good practice advice of test publisher. Test results must be interpreted on the basis of relevant norm groups. The test results are normally released in 3 working days, but sometimes a delay is anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances during which time queries will be solicited and delay explained. However, no guarantee for the time duration shall be provided. Also, the company does not take any responsibility for the actions of the coaches affiliated to the pathperfect test.
