Activities are being implemented in all components and in almost all the targeted areas of the Nyika Transfrontier Conservation Area (NTCA). The project has successfully begun investments in the new project area of the "Chama Block" in Zambia. A recent joint supervision mission of the project financiers agreed with the Governments of Zambia and Malawi on improvements that are needed in the areas of safeguards, M&E, and financial management. Good progress is being made in both countries toward the signature of the NTCA Treaty. Page 1 of 7
