1 Page 1 of 10 BULLETIN Bulletin (5752) Canyon Division Canadian Pacific Railway Bid Requirements November 05, 2018 Internet users can view monthly Bid-Award information by visiting the CP Station website at The following documents (clearly indicating employee number/name) must accompany the bulletin application: 1. Employee Information Sheet 2. Driver's license (including air brake designation) and Drivers Abstract (if not previously supplied) If applying online, the above listed documents must be sent separately by fax or by . Employees are also required to forward a copy of their application and accompanying documents to their Local (Union) Representative. Employees are responsible to confirm that their faxed bulletin application and required documents have been received within the noted closing time/date. The employee may confirm by or by phone, leaving a voice message. A reply will only be provided if the application was not received or is incomplete. All positions are temporary unless advertised as permanent. The program schedule and dates advertised may be altered based on operational requirements. Article 10.4 applies to positions on seasonal initial bulletins only. An employee who has applied for a position may cancel their application provided written cancellation reaches the designated officer and the Union officer prior to the closing date and time of the bulletin, otherwise they will not be permitted to do so. Note: In circumstances whereby an employee has made a legitimate error in the manner in which they bid on the Initial Gang Bulletin they may notify their TCRC MWED Director and request the error be corrected (Article 10.9).

2 Page 2 of 10 Train and Hold Section 14.5 A An employee who is awarded a position by bid, but does not possess the requisite qualification for an Extra Gang Foreman, Assistant Extra Gang Foremen, Track Maintenance Foreman, Lead Track Maintainer or B&S Foreman position will remain in the position for which the training is required for a period of three (3) regularly scheduled monthly bulletin cycles following the date of award unless such employee is appointed to or obtains a bulletin position in a higher rated classification, is displaced by a senior qualified employee or upon conclusion of the position. The company shall provide the requisite training during the hold period. Section 5.3 A An employee who is awarded a position by bid, but does not possess the requisite qualification for classification and positions listed below, will remain in the position for which the training is required for a period of three (3) regularly scheduled monthly bulletin cycles following the date of award unless such employee is appointed to or obtains a bulletin position in a higher rated classification, is displaced by a senior qualified employee or upon conclusion of the position. Rail Heater for CWR An employee who is awarded a position by bid, but does not possess the requisite qualifications for a Group 1 Machine Operator for Trucks over 28,000 lbs, GVW and Trucks over 16,000 lbs, GVW equipped with hi-rail equipment, including all Brandt Roadrailer Trucks, will remain in the position for which training is required for a period of six (6) regularly scheduled monthly bulletin cycles following the date of award unless such employee is appointed to or obtains a bulletin position in a higher rated classification, is displaced by a senior qualified employee or upon conclusion of the position. The Company shall provide the requisite training during the hold period.

10 Page 10 of 10 B&S MACHINE OPERATOR Duties: The machine operator: - Is responsible for the proper care and operation of work equipment in their charge. - Must know that the track machine, roadway machine, or equipment is in safe operating condition before starting and must assure that proper protection is being afforded its operation. - Is responsible for the proper care and storage of work equipment at night and at other times when the equipment is not in use. - Must ensure that special tools, spare parts and attachments are in proper working condition and that they remain with the machine. - Must ensure that only authorized persons are carried on equipment and must know that they are properly positioned before movement is made. - Is responsible for the proper protection of the machine and proper handling of the switches when not working under the supervision of a foreman. Qualifications: To be competent and capable of performing the duties of a machine operator the candidate must: - Be comfortable working on structures at heights with proper fall protection equipment. - Be proficient with the safe use of common hand and power tools. - Obtain and hold a CROR rules card, minimum level D. - Hold a valid driver#s license. - Must be qualified in the appropriate machine operator#s group (1,2,3, etc.) and have successfully completed all CP applicable training courses including the following: - Air ticket - Rigging - WHMIS - Defensive driving - Hi-Rail - First aid - Hand signals
