Kiama Community College s Double Diploma Program provides a number of delivery options to enable you to complete the Diploma Of VET [TAE50111] and Diploma Of Training, Development & Design [TAE50211] simultaneously. By completing 10 units for your Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50111), you will also attain a Diploma of Training Design and Development (TAE50211). This allows you to achieve two Nationally Recognised qualifications in a simple, straightforward, and cost effective way! What is TAE50111 Diploma of VET? The Diploma of VET reflects the role of experienced practitioners delivering training and assessment services usually within Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) within the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Experienced practitioners may have a role in leading other trainers and assessors and in providing mentoring or advice to new trainers or assessors as well as designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area with the RTO. What is TAE50211 Diploma of TDD? The Diploma of TDD reflect the roles of training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Experienced practitioners may have a role in providing guidance and advice to trainers and assessors, promoting innovative practices, e.g. e-learning, researching and incorporating best practice in training and assessment into training programs and products. 3 Is this course suitable for you? This qualification is specifically designed for experienced practitioners who: have a role in leading other trainers and assessors; and/or are involved in providing mentoring or advice to new trainers or assessors; and/or are responsible for designing approaches to learning and assessment strategies across a significant area within the RTO. Are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements,, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. Pathways into the qualification Preferred backgrounds for candidates considering these qualifications include: After achieving the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and vocational experience in training and assessment roles within an RTO or similar organisation where the focus has been on competency based training, or After achieving another relevant qualification and vocational experience in training and assessment roles within an RTO or similar organisation where the focus has been on competency based training and assessment, or After demonstrating extensive vocational experience in training and assessment roles within an RTO or similar organisation where the focus has been on competency based training and assessment. Critical Aspects for Assessment Please be aware that, in order to demonstrate competency for units TAEASS501A, TAEDEL502A, TAEASS503A, the following evidence will need to be provided prior to completion. Undertake the assessment of at least 20 individual candidates against a total of at least 50 units of competency from training packages or accredited courses within the last 2 years Lead assessment amongst a group of assessors and be able to demonstrate how that leadership has lead to improved process and outcomes Undertake at least 100 hours of group facilitation within the last 2 years Please discuss other critical aspect requirements with VET Manager. Pathways from the qualification Those completing the Double Diploma could consider higher qualifications in this Training Package, the Training Package area of their vocational competence or in the higher education sector.

4 Study Options & Pricing Face to face (full course) $3300 Blended delivery (Self paced/webinars) $3300 RPL Assessment only $1950 (NB: RPL price does not include any gap training) Face to Face Classes To complete the Double Diploma, you will be required to successfully complete 10 units of competency delivered over a total of 80 hours. Blended Delivery Delivered over a thirty five (35) week period the course includes seventeen 2-hour webinars plus online self-paced activities. Course Structure Kiama Community College presently offers the following Units: The qualification includes 10 units of competency, which are made up of: 6 core units plus 4 elective units Core units TAEASS501A Provide advanced assessment practice TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools TAEDEL502A Provide advanced facilitation practice TAEDES501A Design and develop learning strategies TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills TAEPDD501A Maintain and enhance professional practice TAETAS501B Undertake organizational training needs analysis TAEDES502A Design and develop learning resources TAEDES505A Evaluate a training program RPL Assessment only Step 1: Work together with our trainer/assessor to see if you qualify to gain RPL. To do this, you will complete an online survey and have a professional conversation with our trainer/ assessor. From the discussion our assessor will provide you with a report expressing two things: Where you might be eligible for RPL Additional items of evidence you need to provide to support this RPL. This initial step with report will cost $150 Step 2: You decide whether you wish to proceed with the dual Diploma qualifications. Step 3: Should you decide to continue, we will provide you with the Candidate RPL Kit for you to complete and provide evidence to your trainer/assessor for assessment. This final step will cost $1480 for one Diploma and if you wish to be assessed for second Diploma there will be an additional administration charge of $320.
