1 Acronym: Lady D.O.V.E.S Mentorship Program/Dove utant Program D-Discipleship (one who accepts and helps to spread the teachings of another i. e. spreading the good news of Christ) O-Outreach (the act of extended services, benefits, etc to a wider section of a population i. e. community work) V-Value (to consider with respect to worth, excellence, usefulness and importance) E-Education (the act or process of educating or being educated) S-Stewardship (one who is actively concerned with the direction of the affairs of an organization) Purpose: The purpose of Lady D.OV.E.S Mentorship program is to teach young ladies that they are valued and can accomplish their goals with faith, hard work, and dedication. Vision: To teach young ladies how to be successful in discipleship and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, outreach within their communities, the value of themselves and their worth, the importance of education, and being a good steward to all things they participate in.

2 MENTORSHIP PROGRAM OUTLINE: Mentorship Age Range: Dove utant: MUST be a junior/senior in high school *The program will have a goal of 1 year. An extension of time will only be granted if there is a need and/or the mentees do not successfully complete classes/sessions. The mentorship and Dove utant program will each have classes geared towards social, financial, physical, mental, and spiritual growth. All mentees who are juniors and seniors in high school will have the option to participate in the Dove utant portion of the mentorship program. *Lady D.O.V.E.S will be able to participate in one activity during Founders weekend in May and participate in the DOVEutant in December if enrolled in the Dove utant portion of the program. *Registration along with a questionnaire will be given to all prospective Lady D.O.V.E.S to see which Sister D.O.V.E will be a good fit for them. Questionnaires will be given to all prospective Sister D.O.V.E.S to see who would be a good fit for them as well. * All Sister D.O.V.E.S will be required to make contact with their Lady D.O.V.E.S 4 times per month. A documentation log will be provided so that they can document each contact. At the end of the month all Sister D.O.V.E.S will be required to submit their logs to the overseer of the program. All time spent with Lady D.O.V.E.S can be used towards community service hours. It is up to the Sister D.O.V.E.S what type of contact/activity they do with their Lady D.O.V.E.S. If contact with Lady D.O.V.E.S cannot be made, make sure that it is documented on the log so credit will still be given for attempt. Sister D.O.V.E.S will lose their privileges for a period of time (up to the overseer) if it is found that no documentation/contact/interaction has been made with

3 mentee after. If the mentor is unable to make contact with mentee 4 out of the 12 months within the year (including activities in May and December), the mentee will not receive her certificate of completion. * Activities will be provided for mentees during Lambda weekends. * Fundraising will be one of the activities throughout the year to help raise money for outings, activities, etc. Those participating in the Dove utant program will be required to fundraise in order to pay for their materials/gowns/etc and for their participation in the Dove utant ball. *All mentees 18 years of age will be eligible to submit applications for membership into Lambda Omicron Chi Christian Sorority, INC. *Recommendation letters (2) will be required all mentees who want to participate in the Dove utant program. One letter must be from a mentor/queen and one letter from a leader (teacher, pastor, etc). 6 D.O.V.E.S Mentee Pledge I, pledge to God, Lambda Omicron Chi Christian Sorority Inc and myself. To always display the following attributes of being a D.O.V.E.S mentee: Discipleship: I accept and will always help to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and do my part to reach souls for his kingdom. Outreach: I will try my best to participate actively in community service programs and/or events. Value: I will always walk boldly with no disguise or compromise which includes doing everything in excellence, staying pure, carrying myself with dignity, integrity and always keeping my eyes on God. This includes respecting myself and others, remembering that I am made in God s image and so I will always have self-worth and high self-esteem. Education: I will try my best to always be a good student which includes going to class, doing my homework and being involved in school sponsored events. I will also do my best educate those who do not know about the good news Jesus Christ. Stewardship: I will do everything in my power to uphold the vision God has for me, the vision of my church and the vision of the D.O.V.E.S mentoring program. As a mentee in the D.O.V.E. S mentoring program, I will notify the overseers of the program if I am having any issues/concerns with my mentor. Also if I do not adhere to the policies and procedures of the D.O.V.E.S Mentoring Program, I can be removed from the program at any time for up to one year. By signing my name below, I make a covenant to respect myself, respect my body, respect my mentor and ultimately of respecting God. 7 D.O.V.E.S Mentor Pledge I, pledge to God, Lambda Omicron Chi Christian Sorority Inc and myself. To always display the following attributes of being a D.O.V.E.S mentor: As a mentor, I will make sure my mentee correctly displays the 5 key element of being D.O.V.E.S (Discipleship, Outreach, Value, Education, Stewardship). As a mentor, I understand that I am making a commitment to this program for a minimum of 1 year and maximum of 4 years. If I cannot commit at any point during this time, the overseers of the program should be notified as soon as possible. As a mentor, I will uphold the characteristics of honesty, integrity, faithfulness, commitment, and all attributes outlined in Lambda Omicron Chi Christian Sorority Inc. s Purpose, Mission and Vision statements. As a mentor, I pledge to make contact four times a month with my mentee. This can include the following: phone calls, outings/activity and/or community service/fundraising opportunities. There should be at least outing/activity, one community service/fundraising opportunity, one phone call and one face to face meeting between mentor and mentee a month. Bringing mentees to LOX outings and community service events count towards this requirement. In the month of May, the mentee will be able to participate in one event of Founder s Week and in December the DOVE utant ball, if enrolled in the program. Parents of the mentee will be notified to let them know when and where outings will be. As a mentor, I will document each contact with my mentee on the D.O.V.E.S documentation log. If contact cannot be made with mentee, documentation should reflect why no contact was made. Credit will be given for all contact with mentees which can be used toward community service hours. As a mentor, I will notify the overseers of the program if I am having and issues/concerns with my mentee. By signing my name below, I pledge to uphold all things outlined above. It is in these thoughtful moments we can begin to appreciate the simple blessings that surround us every day. The Sacred Dove can serve as a hopeful reminder that there are miracles and new possibilities waiting for us just around the corner...

16 Parental Consent I give Lambda Omicron Chi Christian Sorority, INC and it s participants the authority to mentor my daughter and work with her in the areas of social, mental, physical, financial and spiritual growth. I give my daughter permission to participate in activities provided by her mentor and attend classes/sessions to help her develop in those five key areas. My daughter may be released from all participations with the program without fault or stipulations held against her. Parent Signature
