Job Location: All of CT but focus on Fairfield, New Haven and Hartford Counties We are looking for candidates with the following aptitudes, experience and qualities: Technical skills in weatherization and general carpentry Hard working, Reliable and Responsible An energy efficiency advocate Excellent people skills Team player with strong character Computer literate BPI certifications Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers license. Successful candidates will conduct comprehensive and precise residential home energy assessments in accordance with the standards in the Connecticut Home Energy Solutions (HES) Program and SolvIt Home Services practices. As a Home Energy Auditor, you will educate homeowners in energy saving practices-- both basic weatherization improvements as well as deeper energy saving measures. You will also promote the successful completion of energy efficiency improvements and install Instant Savings Measures such as light bulbs and water conservation products as part of the home energy assessment. SolvIt Home Services provides training and ongoing coaching to help you succeed and grow in the role. Under the daily supervision of a Lead Home Performance Technician, you will work as part of a two person crew performing energy assessments at homes throughout Connecticut. This includes air sealing and installation of Instant Savings Measures such as light bulbs and water conservation products as part of the home energy assessment. 6 Lead Home Energy Technicians Better Building Performance - Shelton, CT To Apply: Call or J.Vith@BetterBuildingPerformance.org Building Performance Institute Certified Energy Auditors Wanted Successful candidates will be part of a two person team working in the EnergizeCT Home Energy Solutions programs (HES and HES-IE) throughout the State of Connecticut. The Lead Analyst will be responsible for empowering the team to educate home owners in energy efficiency practices. The team will analyze the home owners energy usage, promote and encourage the adoption of sound energy efficiency recommendations, install instant savings measures in compliance with the Home Energy Solutions guidelines and provide the opportunity for home owners to learn more about deeper energy efficiency rebates and company offerings all in accordance with the standards of EnergizeCT's Home Energy Solutions program and company practices. Pay: Hourly plus commission Certifications required are: BPI Building Analyst BPI Envelope Lead RRP DOE Assessor Must pass mandatory utility company background check.
