1 CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER APPLICATION INFORMATION PACKAGE Introduction Thank you for your interest in the vacant position with Mamu Health Service Limited. This Information Package is designed to give you some general information and to assist you with your application. Before preparing your application you should read all the information in this package carefully. Particular attention should be given to the enclosed Position Description and the Selection Criteria. Mission Statement The purpose of MHSL is to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who live in Innisfail and surrounding districts to live long healthy lives. Vision Statement The vision of the MHSL is the elimination of disparities in health and wellbeing experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our region. Employment Information Term of Employment One year contract with the possibility of extension for 2 additional years, based on funding. MHSL CEO Application Package Page 1 of 6

2 Remuneration Package The base annual salary will be commensurate with relevant qualifications and experience of the successful applicant ranging between $125, and $135, per annum. Superannuation at 9.5% 5 weeks annual leave (leave loading at 17.5%). Provisions to accrue up to 15 hours TOIL Salary packaging benefits (details below). Vehicle provided for work purposes. Mobile phone and laptop provided. Relocation allowance up to $1, (if required). Salary Sacrifice: Our staff enjoy the allowances of salary sacrifice up to the maximum acceptable under current Federal legislation for PBI (Public Benevolent Institutions). This is offered through Eziway Salary Packaging and information is available on request. How to Apply Read this Application Information Package, the Position Description and Selection Criteria. Mamu Health Service supports the objectives of ensuring that appointments are based firmly on the principles of equity and merit. A Panel will undertake the selection process. Each Selection Panel will be convened with care to ensure that it has the necessary expertise to make a sound decision in a fair and impartial way. Collectively, the Panel will have an understanding of the vacancy and its role and will be responsible for the integrity of the final selection decision. How Your Suitability will be assessed A number of separate selection techniques may be used to gather information in regard to your suitability so that a proper and thorough assessment is assured. These should include your application, interview and referee reports. Short-listing After the closing date the Selection Panel will evaluate all applications based on responses to Selection Criteria and Desirable Criteria. The best will be short-listed and applicants will be invited for an interview. Interview A Selection Panel (consisting of up to four people) will interview each shortlisted applicant. Interview questions will be based on the Selection Criteria and Desirable Criteria and highlight important aspects of the Position Description. Each application will be assessed against the selection criteria to determine who will progress to the next stage of the recruitment process. Applicants who satisfy the essential selection criteria and desirable criteria and establish their suitability in regard to the other selection criteria and desirable criteria will be interviewed. 4 presented in their application and to enable the Panel to gather further data for the assessment process. If you cannot attend an interview in person, a telephone interview may be suitable. Interview Next Step The selection panel will make a decision on the best applicant or applicants for the role and will then contact the referees provided. Your referees will be asked questions on you and your performance. Offer of employment If you are successful we will contact you and a verbal offer will be made. Once you verbally accept and provide a start date we will provide you with a written offer of employment including standard probation period of six (6) months. Unsuccessful applications Once the offer of employment has been accepted by the successful candidate, candidates that have been invited to attend an interview will receive an unsuccessful letter. Am I able to obtain feedback regarding my application after the Selection process is completed? Yes. The Panel is obliged to provide, upon request, all information they have regarding your suitability to the position i.e., Panel comments and decisions and reasons for that decision.
