1 Job escription: Co-production and ngagement Curator (World Cultures) Reports to Salary scale Hours Contract Co-production & ngagement Manager S5 2 days a week Permanent two year project contract Job Purpose To develop new exhibition and programme of activities at Museum and Art Gallery, focusing on the co-produced Your Place in the World gallery development. To ensure that displays, programmes and activities support income generation and learning activities. To proactively facilitate co-production of programmes and activity with Community Volunteers and Active Citizens both in the museum and out in the community itself. Reporting Supervisory responsibilities: Managing Individual Performance: Responsible for: Volunteers Reports to Co-production and ngagement Manager Responsibility for secondees, trainees and volunteers.

2 Specific Responsibilities 1. Work closely with erby s diverse communities, collection specialists and volunteers to coproduce and interpret a new gallery that profiles world collections as a means to connect and represent erby s diverse communities 2. Co-produce displays, programmes and activities to support visitor engagement and inspires curiosity in erby s story, using our collections, with and in support of Community Volunteers, Active Citizens, stakeholders and partners. Learning from and participating in erby Museums Human Centred esign approach. 3. Take responsibility for the collections required for displays, programmes and activities, and ensure they are documented and cared for, in conjunction with the Collections Manager. 4. nsure that displays, programmes and activities are customer-focussed. 5. Support fundraising initiatives on behalf of the project as identified by the Fundraising and evelopment Co-ordinator. General Responsibilities 1. Actively participate in the wider life of erby Museums contributing to inter-disciplinary teamwork and projects, updating systems and processes and undertaking other duties as requested. 9. Be responsible for your own personal & professional development, ensuring compliance with all Trust policies including Customer Care, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Trust s health, safety and security arrangements plus Financial and Procurement Standing Orders.
