The undersgned s drected to nvte reference to the Department of Personnel and Tranng Offce Memorandum of even number dated the 19h ~ ay regardng the Modfed Assured Career Progresson Scheme (MACPS). Consequent upon nlroducton of the Scheme, clarfcatons have been sought by varous MnstreslDepartments about certan ssues n connecton wth mplementaton of the MACPS. The doubts rased by varlous quarters have been duly examned and pont-wse clarfcatons have accordngly been ndcated n the ~nnexure. 2 The MACPS should strlctly be mplemented n keep~ng wlth the Department of Personnel and Tra~nng Offce Memorandum of even number dated read wth the aforesad clarlf~cat~ons (Annexure) 3. No. Whle elgblty of an employee for1 appontment aganst ex-cadre posts n terms of the provsons of the RRs of the ex-cadre post wll contnue to be determned wth reference to the postlpay scale of the post held n the parent cadre on regular bass (and not wth reference to the hgher scale granted under ACPSMACPS). such an offcer, n the event of hs selecton, may be allowed to opt to draw the pay n the ' hgher scale under ACPMACP Scheme wthout deputaton allowance dur~ng the perod of deputaton, f t s more benefc~al than the normal enttlements under the exstng general order regulatng pay on appontment on deputaton bass. Snce the pay scales of Group "D" employees have been merged and placed n the Grade Pay of Rs.1800, whether they are enttled for grant of 3% durng pay fxaton at every stage. Yes. On the analogy of pont 22 of Annexure- of MACPS, the pay of such Group "Dm employees who have been placed n the Grade Pay of Rs.1800 w.e.f. 01, shall be fxed successvely n the next three mmedate hgher grade pays n the herarchy of revsed paybands and grade pays allowng the beneft of 1 3% pay fxaton at every stage.
