POSITION PURPOSE The Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Specialist is the key subject matter expert in current and future AR and VR technology at TAFE NSW. The AR/VR Specialist will undertake research and test emerging opportunities within TAFE Digital to develop AR and VR components to enhance the digital learning experience using innovative tools and technologies. 2 3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Research, design, test, develop, and create VR experiences for integration into TAFE Digital teaching and learning resources. 2. Collaborate with the TAFE Digital Team on internal design, reviews, demonstrations and external communications regarding VR and AR technology. 3. Work with clients, and internal teams to design and enhance teaching and learning resources and solutions for TAFE NSW, facilitating increased business efficiency and optimising the cost of operations. 4. Create unique and compelling 3D environments and scenarios for VR scenes that will help the Digital Design Team to evaluate various aspects of vehicle design, including UI/UX, sound, actions, lighting, various driving situations, autonomous driving, etc. 5. Expand the TAFE NSW AR/VR suite and capacity by evaluating various AR/VR system related technologies for potential integration to TAFE Digital resources. 6. Define, promote and utilise best practices for mixed reality capabilities. 7. Serve as a subject matter expert to others seeking to utilise VR and AR technologies to automate and streamline existing manual business processes. 8. Interact with the global academic and business community to develop new techniques. 9. Prepare and present analysis, methods and results to non-expert personnel, management team and technical experts throughout different projects. 10. Reflect TAFE NSW s values in the way you work and abide by policies and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy and inclusive work environment. 11. Matters requiring a higher level of approval are referred to the Reporting Line Manager. 7. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. 2.
