2 Assessment Tool Student Resource TLIA2013A RECEIVE GOODS Unit Descriptor Pre-requisite Units Assessment Methods This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to receive goods in accordance with regulatory and workplace requirements, including identifying workplace procedures and documentation requirements for the receipt of goods; checking and inspecting goods on arrival and completing workplace documentation; and unloading, packing and storing stock. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are applicable to this unit. 3 Assessment Task 1 Project You are required to find your workplace procedures and other documentation relevant to receiving goods. Complete the following: 1. List your workplace procedures relevant to receiving goods. What do they tell you about how to do your job? 2. List any other documentation relevant to receiving goods. 4 Assessment Task 2 Observation Your assessor will observe you receiving goods in your workplace or college. They will use the following checklist to assess your ability to complete the task. When you feel you are ready to complete your demonstration you should make a time with your assessor to observe you TASK REQUIREMENTS Complete the process for receiving goods in your workplace. This should include the following steps: Obtain relevant documentation Check and inspect the goods Unload, unpack and store the stock Upon completion of the observation, all relevant documentation should be completed and copies submitted for assessment. 6 Assessment Task 3 Questions Instructions: The following questions have been designed to check your required knowledge for this unit. This is an open book assessment and you are to answer all of the following questions. Make sure you ask your assessor if you do not understand a question. Whist your assessor cannot tell you the answer, they may be able to re-word the question for you.
