4 Careers For Monarchs How to Join C4M is our NEW free online portal to post your part-time, internship, and full time positions. Manage on-campus interviews and register for career fairs and events! To register, enter this link in your internet browser and follow the instructions below: Marketing Through Careers4Monarchs, and our website, you have access to our thousands of students and alumni. To increase your brand awareness on campus an beyond, there are marketing opportunities available to your organization. Please contact our team to find out more. After accessing the website above, click "Get Started", under the "Free" option, and complete your registration. It will take up to two business days for our team to verify your profile, but while you wait you can complete your company profile and/or post a pending job. 5 C areer Fair s CDS sponsors 8 annual Career Fairs, held in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. Your active participation in our Career Fairs gives you an opportunity to market to and talk to students, alumni, & local military personnel about your organization. How to Register 1. Once your account has been approved, in Careers4Monarchs, you can login to your account and under the "School Events" header, click "register" for the fair(s) that you are interested in. 2. Enter your industry, name of attending representatives, and the majors you are hiring. Click save and it will forward you to the registration page. 3. If you have more than two representatives, "Add 1 to cart" for each additional rep. (Ex. -for 3 reps, add additional representative once.) 4. Click "Add 1 to cart" for the registration type that you would like and are eligible for. 5. Click "Go to cart/checkout" and review your selection, if all is correct, click "Checkout by Invoice", then "Submit". 6. You will then receive an with the invoice and payment instructions and confirmation of your registration. Spring Career Fairs Co-Op & Internship Fair - January 31st 12pm-3pm: This fair allows for companies offering internship and co-op opportunities to network with about students. Teacher Recruitment Fair - February 19th 9a - 4p: This fair allows for employers to network with about students and interview them for education positions, in the same day! Spring Fair - March 21st 1030a - 230p: This fair is for companies offering fulltime career opportunities, internships, and is one of our biggest events of the year, with 100 companies and over 1,000 ODU students & alumni. Summer Job Fest - April 9th This fair allows employers to meet with students who are looking for summer employment around the state.

6 Campus Recruiting Services On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) This program allows you to post identified key positions, receive resumes electronically, select the candidates your wish to consider, and schedule interviews through CDS. We will work with you to schedule on-campus interviews and provide interview facilities. Information Sessions CDS will assist in scheduling and providing appropriate facilities for conducting information sessions. Information Sessions are normally held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 PM - 1 :30 PM, or in the evenings Monday - Thursday 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. However, we can accommodate alternate schedules to meet your specific recruitment needs. Request Here: Information Tables CDS will schedule a date and time for you to come to campus, typically Tuesday or Thursday from 11 am - 2pm and network with students in our student center. This method of recruitment will allow for targeted students, who have been made aware of the event, and students who may not have previously heard about your organization, to stop by your table in the food court and find out more about your company. Request Here: Targeted Information Tables CDS will schedule a date and time for you to come to campus, typically Tuesday or Thursday from 11 am - 2pm and network with students in a specific college (Engineering and Business) or if a special target in a special location. This method of recruitment will allow for targeted students, who have been made aware of the event, and students who may not have previously heard about your organization, to stop by your table and find out more about your company. Available Table Locations: Webb Center (All Majors) Batten Arts and Letters (Arts and Letters Majors/ Sophomores) Kaufman Mall (Engineering Majors) Engineering Systems Building (Engineering Majors) Constant Hall (Business Majors) Open House/Meet and Greet We would schedule a 2 hour block that would be scheduled for tabling and meet and greet, information sharing activities. Virtual Information/ Networking Sessions CDS will assist in scheduling and providing appropriate web tools to facilitate a virtual conversation. Sessions are normally held evenings Monday - Thursday 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Want to meet with our team to create an Individualized Recruitment Action Plan (IRAP)? Interested in recruiting outside of the box of job posting and fairs? Would you like to enhance your brand on our campus? Meet with our team! Please our On-Campus Recruitment and Career Fair Coordinator, Amber Heyward, indicating your desire to create an "IRAP" with us. Please list your targeted recruiting majors and three tentative dates and times that you are available. We will coordinate a meeting for your team with Saranette Williams, our Associate Director for Employer Programs and Development, and the liaison(s) respective to the major that you are intending to recruit, as available.

7 Special Programming for Employer Engagement Employer Mock Interviews Students preparing for internships and cooperative education and interviews are offered mock interview experiences in the Fall and Spring. Recruiters can participate by donating their time to come on campus to prepare students for the interview experience. Reality Checks This program is an opportunity to share with students a "real world" view of a particular field. Company representatives typically present, on a shared panel, what a day in the life is like at their organization. This ensures the students are the right match for the company and that the company is the right match for the student. We host this program multiple times a semester, if you would like us to create one for your field please let us know! Below are available panels to join: "Working for Non-profits" Thu 07 Feb 12:30 pm "Don't let your past come back to bite you!" Tue 05 Mar 12:30 pm University 120: Employers in the Classroom Panel This is a course offered at the University that entails a systematic exploration of individual interests and skills and career resources. Emphasis is placed on defining goals and developing strategies to achieve goals. We have companies come to the classes over the course of the semester for panel based discussions. Sign Up Here:
