BOOST4Shoes has the answers you need to implement a successful online crossboarders sales strategy and boost your company in worldwide markets. THE PROBLEM Footwear SMEs are an essential part for the attaining sustainable and durable European economic growth. The footwear sector makes a significant contribution to EU economy which concerns employment jobs - and turnover - 27 billion. However, Europe is responsible for only 13% of global exports and exports about 15% of its production outside EU. There s still room for increase these figures and boots the competitiveness of EU companies in world markets. THE SOLUTION The project promotes the use of the Internet as a sales channel to increase revenues from cross-border sales both within the EU and outside, improving the exporting performance of the sector. This includes changing sales and marketing strategies, adopting new types of organisation and acquiring knowledge on e-commerce technologies. The project envisages to deliver training to footwear SMEs on how to penetrate foreign markets by upgrading their online presence in order to increase cross-border sales revenues using the Internet as a sales channel.

3 THE RESULTS > The training course is the core of the project and it aims to offer valid training contents to professionals from the footwear sector in order to support them in the acquisition of skills and competences to become an Online Sales Manager. > The online course will be supported on the Strategy Genie designed and developed to deliver personalised training pathways by initially checking current knowledge and awareness of footwear SMEs about online cross-border sales and then provide personalised strategies composed of phases in order to improve their performance. The "Genie" will be made interactive and allow users to choose actions to implement in each phase, in order to implement the strategy at their own time and pace. > A new training path will be designed according to the new profile and related tools will be created and made available. This will equip the new professionals with necessary high-quality skills to start doing business online, increase revenues and reduce costs. The project seeks the recognition and certification of the new qualification profile and training at national level. > The outcomes will be available in 6 languages: English, Greek, Polish, Portuguese, German and Romanian. > A new profile on Online Sales Manager will be developed. This professional will be able to devise e-commerce strategies to uncover the potential from a range of services available to a virtual, "border-less" online community with customers in different locations. THE TARGET-GROUPS BOOST4Shoes targets SMEs from the footwear industry. The project directly addresses professionals dealing with management and sales in footwear SMEs. In addition, it targets Vocational Education Training (VET) providers, Associations, other shoe industry representative bodies, Information and Technology companies, e-commerce/digital marketing trainers and coaches, young individuals who can benefit from additional skills which can help them obtain work and increase mobility across Europe.
