1 Job title: Reporting to: Department: Hours of work: Sponsorships and Partnerships Manager Head of Marketing, UK Marketing Your hours of work will be as per your contract of employment. A full time time role would be 40 hours per week, (not including break) Flexibility is required to meet the needs of our business. Variable shifts to include evenings and weekends are the norm with some night working also required on occasion. Your mission: To identify, develop and manage a portfolio of sponsorships, partnerships and activations which meet business needs either by driving brand position, generating leads or increasing member engagement To lead development and implementation of all sponsorship initiatives and campaigns, working cross functionally within the business to activate these across all channels To develop and manage effective relationships with current partners To work closely with PR agency, to optimise opportunities to promote Virgin Active s sponsorships and partnerships activity To share sponsorship knowledge of the wider market in a way that informs marketing strategy and supports business objectives Should you choose to accept it: I have read and understood my responsibilities as outlined in this job description. 3 Responsibilities? Tasks? Accountabilities? (Basically, what you ll be doing!) Your job.. Role specific responsibilities: Develop and implement the Sponsorship/Partnership strategy based on the commercial and reputational needs of the business, working closely with and reporting into the Head of Marketing, UK Take a leadership role in identifying the business objectives that Sponsorships and Partnerships must fulfil (working closely with business stakeholders especially the Head of Marketing, UK) Based on the Sponsorship / Partnership strategy, develop and manage Virgin Active s portfolio of partners, ambassadors and friends on a national and regional level Plan and implement all branding opportunities as part of the activation programme in line with the Sponsorship / Partnership strategy. Generate creative ideas to help maximise and activate sponsor led activities across the business. Provide a range of assets, collateral and platforms that support events and initiatives across the year to drive acquisition and identify and implement partnerships or activations to drive awareness and engagement amongst best audiences Work closely with PR agency, to actively create and manage opportunities to raise Virgin Active s brand profile through its sponsorships, partnerships and ambassador strategy, reporting impact and results to the business Act as single point of contact on all issues relating to Sponsorships, Partnerships Develop insights based on publicity and research that inform the evolution of the Sponsorship/ Partnership strategy to meet the expectations of key stakeholders, and drives value for the business Manage relationships with Virgin Management and the Virgin Group of companies to drive mutual benefit across PR and sponsorship opportunities Ensure event success through strong planning, focus on outcomes and collaboration with key stakeholders (internally, key media and other stakeholders). Working on events is an essential part of the role and you will be required to attend all major VA sponsored events and to act as the finest ambassador Evaluate the effectiveness and value of key sponsorship activation activities Present to and engage stakeholders with strategy and results at exec and senior level Work in partnership with the Social Media Manager to maximise reach and impact of Sponsorship and Partnership activity

Interest in health and fitness We d love you to have Drive, flexibility and a willingness to learn The ability to cope under pressure Creativity, imagination and initiative We can t live without Demonstration of the Virgin Active Leadership Behaviours Educated to degree level and above Experience at Account Director level or equivalent Experience in developing successful strategies within Partnership and Sponsorship space Experience of constructing Sponsorship, Partnership and Ambassador contract agreements that are mutually beneficial to both parties Experience of sponsorship and corporate sponsorship account management Proven track record of activating sponsorships, ambassadors and partnerships to build business results Experience of having managed an advocate network Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi task Great team work, analytical and problem solving skills. Evidence of strategic thinking Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels Sound business awareness and excellent knowledge of current affairs Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills Experience of managing multiple agencies Strong budget management skills
