2 2 P I C The Hosting NGO ACTIVITY PROFILE OF THE NGO Sprint Team Athletics 2000 is a Cyprus NGO, no-profit association born in Larnaca in The ngo is consisted ORGANIZATION of professional sport coaches and educators who are responsible not only for the coaching programme of the athletes but also they are developing a multilevel educational programme taking into consideration physical, mental, emotional and social personal development of each young athlete. actively engaged in several local actions promoting Athletics and generally Sports among local community and society. cooperation with other organisations and movements in order to promote social values such as environment, health, poverty, culture, education, etc. stalar2000@gmail.com

3 3 Summary of the project Employouth: Youth Workers for Young People Empowerment is a KA1 youth workers mobility which will take place in Larnaca (Cyprus) from 22nd to 29th of July 2017 and will gather 23 participants (within the group there will be trainers, facilitators and supporting staff from Cyprus and Italy) from 10 countries: Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Spain, Estonia, Portugal, Italy and Slovakia. the equipment of Youth Workers of coaching tools and let them act as multipliers in their organisations and communities. Why; to support young people in their employability, especially due to the high unemployment rates but also due to different reasons (early school leavers, lack of resilience, ORGANIZATION lack of new skills for new jobs etc). What s the main goal? The main aim of this project is to enable and build capacity of youth workers (group leaders, trainers, mentors, facilitators, officers etc.) of coaching and guiding young people s career and boosting their resilience to facilitate their entrance in the labour market. to empower young people through the equipment of Youth Workers of coaching tools and let them act as multipliers in their organisations and communities. Methodology and methods supportive coaching methodological approach. workshops delivery based on the principles of non-formal education (e.g. experiential learning, theoretical and practical knowledge shared, cooperative learning, shared responsibility, personal reflection etc.). -activities such as: plenary discussions for sharing and exchange of views, thoughts, ideas, etc., multimedia presentations, co-coaching, simulation exercises for skills development, work in small groups and workshops for detailed exploration of specific issues. Expected Impact Practical competences developed within the subject matters covered during the course and ways to tackle it; Greater confidence and better quality of interventions applied in a wide range of contexts related to getting young people into employment; Getting more young people into employment or training Changing young people s perspectives regarding the job search. More resilience of the Youth Workers as they apply tools learnt to themselves and their own work contexts Developed better understanding and more holistic perspective on youth unemployment

4 4 Participation Number of participants check in the table below. The official language of the project is English and participants must have basic language skills. All applicants should fill in the following application form. In case there are more applicants than the required number from an NGO, organisers will make the final selection of the participants. e/1faipqlsf7sp2kvttul3erzv1fzcg5k3ltxvheykgzixlpmyt4sxzo2g/viewform? c=0&w=1 Selected participants will be added in the closed facebook group created by the organisers in order to get important information, announcements and share comments, ideas, photos etc Participants must arrive on the 22nd July and depart on the 29th of July 2017 Before the booking and purchase of the ticket, participants must inform the organisers about the dates and the prices of their trip in order to agree. Organisers need all the originals receipts and invoices and boarding passes in order to reimburse for participants travel costs.

5 5 P I C The Venue Venue The Training Course will take place in Larnaca town and it s 45 kilometers away from Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus Accommodation The accommodation and the activities of the training course will be held at Flamingo Beach Hotel just 5 mins from Larnaca Airport. Flamingo Beach Hotel is a modern 3-star The participants will stay in 4-beds room Breakfast and both meals will be served at hotel restaurant Free wi-fi is available in the lobby, conference room and bedrooms as well. 6 6 Reimbursement Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon full attendance of the training course and presentation of the original tickets with boarding passes and all receipt/ invoices. Reimbursement will be done by bank transfer, in EURO, to the NGO bank account, regardless of the currency indicated on your ticket and receipt or invoice. Please note if you buy your ticket in your local currency which might be different than O R G A N I Z A T I O N EUR, we will calculate your travel costs according to the exchange rates from official European Commission web-site for the month of ticket purchase. The organisers will reimburse the travel costs indicated in the table below, from your home city to Larnaca or Paphos, Cyprus. If your travel costs exceed the amount budgeted in the project, we will still be able to reimburse only the specific amount of money (for example if you spend 285 and your max reimbursement is 275 you'll be in charge of 10 ). In case your travel costs are less than the amount of money indicated in the table we ll be able to cover the amount you spent and use the rest amount of money for training costs. Participation Fees Due to the increased prices for the summer period (food and accommodation) and since costs are important to keep the quality of the structures which will host the activities letting let participants live in a more comfortable accommodation and environment, as organizers we have decided to ask for a 30 euro participation fee from each participant. If this cause any inconvenience to you let us know.

8 8 Other Health Insurance Health insurance is not provided by the organizers. All participants are required to purchase health insurance individually. European health insurance card. The European Health Card is accepted in every country of the European Union. If you don t have it, you can get it easily. You should go to the office recharged with health affairs, and ask for your European Health Card. It's a little blue plastic card, and you can get it for free. It's valid in every EU country for 1 year. Or any other insurance is welcome (organizers are not covering insurance costs) Weather It is given that coming to Cyprus in July means you should bring light clothes with you because the summer is really hot in Cyprus. Also bring swim suit, extra towel and sun care lotion with you as the beach is just a few steps away from your hotel.
