2 Station: Ezo Purpose The overall purpose of the position is to contribute to health improvement though improved access to sustainable WASH services to host communities in Ezo and Yambio Counties. This will be achieved by working with the WASH Officer in assessments, installation/construction/rehabilitation of WASH facilities, monitoring and Evaluation and capacity building of staff and community structures. Responsibilities and Tasks; Help plan activities with the community to reduce WASH-related risks. Support the WASH Officer in the supervision of construction and rehabilitation works at field level Keep daily record of World Vision material use in the field Collect and record data on routine activities and share it with the WASH Officer Gather data during needs assessments, baseline survey and other assessments and share the findings with stakeholders. Act as a link between the community leaders, the community and other stakeholders in the area Supervise contractors and other casual workers and staff as may be delegated by the

3 WASH Officer. Support the WASH Officer in Tracking and documenting all work processes including community feedback, positions of infrastructure (GPS), labelling of WASH facilities and project photos. Work with the WASH Officer and Quality Assurance unit to develop quality checklists and forms Ensure DIPs, short term plans, procurement plans and Cash Forecasts are in place in a timely manner Act as a link between community and contractors to ensure that quality infrastructure construction/rehabilitation is implemented Mobilise the community to participate in the project Ensure that the facilities are constructed in line with the relevant procedures and standards Monitor progress of activities report all milestones and flag issues as soon as they arise Ensure an integrated approach in the implementation of WASH infrastructure and Hygiene promotion components Participate in identifying non-food items(hygiene) needs and liaise with NFI unit in the distribution of the same Ensure timely completion of project activities according to the detailed implementation

Keep track of World Vision resources, materials and equipment and ensure their safety and proper use Collaborate with line ministry Resources management Be a good steward by ensuring that project materials and resources are used effectively. Programme approach Ensure that WASH activities are integrated with other activities for optimum benefit of the beneficiaries. Ensure that cross cutting issues such as protection, gender, environment, HIV are addresses and mainstreamed in the project. Ensure that the vulnerable people also benefit from the project. Reporting Participate in drafting of weekly and monthly reports before deadlines Qualifications, experience and competences

5 Powered by TCPDF ( Secondary education with diploma in building and construction, Civil Engineering, Water Technology 2 years of relevant experience with an Ngo/Government Experience on borehole drilling, equipping, rehabilitation and construction basics. Experience in the use of community participatory approaches such as PHAST, CHAST and CLTS Strong communication and organisational skills Self-driven, committed to delivery of results Sensitivity to the needs and priorities of different groups in the community Fluency in spoken and written English Proficiency in use of computer programs( MS Office, Internet e.t.c) This Job description is not exhaustive but a guide.
