1 Part 1: Summary job details Job title: Digital Engagement Manager Contract basis: Permanent, full-time (36.5 hours per week) Reporting to: Direct reports: Individual Giving and Communications Manager (IGCM) None Salary: 30,000-32,000 Part 2: Job description Key purpose: Develop and implement a multi-channel, integrated digital engagement strategy to continually improve Embrace s online presence, strengthen audience engagement and increase fundraising, awareness and support for the Christian mission of Embrace the Middle East Key responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement a digital engagement strategy As part of the Fundraising and Marketing Team, work with the IGCM and Director of Fundraising and Marketing to shape, drive and deliver a multi-channel, fully integrated digital engagement strategy which will include: Creating strategies to source, develop and deliver digital engagement opportunities to improve donor experience and journey, using effective digital platforms to increase fundraising, number of donors and to increase online engagement Page 1 of 7

2 Identify and develop digital engagement opportunities amongst Embrace s audiences including church networks, other community groups and organisations, and individuals Work with key stakeholders to integrate digital media into our communications including PR, Trading, advocacy, appeals, events, volunteering network, campaigning and fundraising materials. Develop and manage Embrace s digital channels and platforms including , website, webshop and social media, identifying opportunities and approaches to improve and build the charity s online presence and fundraising ability Develop methods to identify and implement supporter journeys and recommend opportunities to strengthen their engagement via online channels and platforms Be pro-active in identifying opportunities to increase our brand awareness by working with other departments eg Programmes and Partnerships, CEO office, HR to identify opportunities to support delivering of their plans through online channels/platforms. Work with key stakeholders to ensure effective integration between our CRM, digital platforms and offline communication 2. Project management Work in collaboration with IT and key stakeholders to identify, implement, install and use an integrated fundraising platform Lead a website redevelopment project Maintain the digital content calendar, working collaboratively with colleagues to source and develop engaging content adapted for various audiences. Plan and deliver digital campaigns to support the work of key stakeholders. 3. Create engaging digital content Develop and deliver effective charity communications and content that will: Deliver digital marketing support for charity and trading activities, working with the IGCM and other parties where appropriate to source or produce, edit and manage relevant multimedia content, including adverts, for internal and external digital platforms Page 2 of 7

3 Increase income and number of active supporters who want to donate, volunteer, pray, fundraise and undertake acts of advocacy Working with the IGCM to create or source/commission effective charity communications Monitor style, design and content of digital communications to maintain brand identity 4. Develop, research and use methods to test and improve digital effectiveness. Using the charity s CRM and data analysis tools, explore, monitor, evaluate effectiveness and report on the use of the charity s digital channels Improve and monitor use of SEO and other tools optimising our digital communications in response to trends Report on online activity where related to delivery of the strategic plan or as required Amend digital engagement plan where indicated by trends, developments and data 5. Work collaboratively Support the work of colleagues across departments in the delivery of their objectives and use of digital platforms Work with Embrace s IT team to access technical support and ensure effective use of resources Oversee technical support contracts/suppliers where appropriate 6. 4 Part 3: Person Specification Digital Engagement Manager Attribute Essential Desirable General Education Good general education up to at least degree level or equivalent Digital PR/Marketing/ Communications qualification or accredited course Skills, knowledge and abilities Good, working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word, Outlook & imaging editing software Excellent knowledge of digital platforms that allow integrated fundraising and marketing communications Outstanding organisational skills & good time management The imagination to proactively generate new ideas, coupled with design flair and the ability to produce engaging content for web and social media platforms. Ability to take a holistic strategic view of how to engage supporters across different digital media platforms. The ability to understand and analyse web and social media tracking analytics and use to inform customer or supporter engagement campaigns. Knowledge of design / usability issues when delivering content to multiple Competent use of Photoshop or similar Ability to use video editing software Experience of Engaging Networks or similar Knowledge of the Middle East and the countries where we work Page 4 of 7

7 Contract basis: Permanent, full-time, subject to six months probation Reporting to: Direct reports: Location: Hours of work: Pension: Individual Giving and Communications Manager (IGCM) None The charity s head office at 24 London Road West, Amersham, Bucks HP7 0EZ Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday from 8.30am to 4.00pm. Overtime is not normally paid, but the post holder may be able to take time off in lieu of extended hours worked. Some flexibility on core working hours may be considered. After three months employment eligible employees will be automatically enrolled into the company s Group Personal Pension Scheme with the option to join from month 1 of their employment. The minimum employer contribution to the scheme is currently 6%, while the employee contribution can be at any level, with Embrace matching employee contributions of up to 3%, in increments of 1% i.e. maximum employer contribution of 9%. Salary sacrifice is available. Death in service: Life Assurance (Death in Service cover) of 3x salary will be provided for your spouse/dependants in the event of your death whilst you are an active employee of the charity. Holiday: The standard annual holiday entitlement in any holiday year is based on a full time equivalent of 30 days, inclusive of recognised public holidays. In addition, the office is closed between Christmas and the New Year. Circumstances: Able and prepared to work full-time from the Embrace office in Amersham. Some travel required.
