Respnsible fr perfrming and verseeing the perfrmance f ther mechanics fr the assigned shift(s) in Transprtatin and repair f mbile equipment including vehicles, buses, heavy equipment, and special purpse equipment. Initial wage placement accrding t NCSD/OSEA Cllective Bargaining Agreement. 2 Public Emplyees Retirement System (PERS), upn eligibility. Retirement Plan Cntributins Nrth Clackamas Schl District (NCSD) is a Public Emplyee's Retirement System (PERS) emplyer. PERS allws emplyees t cntribute 6% f their salary t their Individual Accunt Prgram (IAP). Hwever, NCSD makes the 6% cntributin t its emplyee's IAP accunt. This means n mney is taken ut f emplyee paychecks, but the emplyee is still receiving 6% f the salary cntributed t his/her retirement IAP accunt. In additin, NCSD makes a cntributin t the emplyee's PERS OPSRP Pensin Plan. SCHEDULE: 1PM - 9:30PM WORK CALENDAR: 260 days MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Incumbents must have successful experience in wrking with culturally diverse families and cmmunities, r have therwise demnstrated a cmmitment t strengthening engagement f a diverse cmmunity and skill in cmmunicating with a diverse ppulatin. Graduatin frm high schl r equivalent. Must have cmpleted an apprenticeship r the equivalent within the specific trade/craft area. Three years f successful jurneyman level experience. Demnstrated aptitude t prvide leadership ver ther mechanics and supprt staff. Hld r btain an Oregn Department f Educatin schl bus annual inspectr certificate. Pssess an apprpriate trade license valid in the state. Must be trained in First Aid. CPR and defibrillatr training may be required.

3 Ability t recgnize and take measures t eliminate safety risk n equipment used t transprt students and emplyees. Initiative and ability t wrk with minimal directin; sund judgment and decisin making capabilities are essential. Strng verbal cmmunicatin skills t prvide directin n cmplex repair and maintenance issues and prvide training t ther emplyees. Knwledge f and willingness and ability t train emplyees in safety equipment; enfrce safety prcedures and injury preventin prcedures. Must pssess a valid state driver s license and a valid Cmmercial Driver s License; have a safe driving recrd; and be able and willing t perate district-wned vehicles. This psitin is subject t randm drug testing under Department f Transprtatin guidelines and in cmpliance with District anti-drug and alchl preventin prgrams. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual and bicultural skills. Prir lead r supervisry experience which demnstrated successful ability t lead ther emplyees. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Respnsibilities: 16. Evaluates maintenance and repair wrklad, schedules wrk, assigns wrk t mechanics and helpers, and inspects cmpleted wrk.

4 Prvides training and assistance t mechanics and helpers in perfrming maintenance and repair wrk. 3. Manages parts and material inventry t assure timely availability f needed repair materials and parts. Initiates and prcesses requisitins in accrdance with supervisr and department directin and guidance and district plicy. Receives and inventries materials, supplies, and equipment. 4. Participates with the supervisr in interviewing, screening, and selectin f new emplyees. Prvides input fr emplyee evaluatins. Wrks with supervisr t address perfrmance and behavir cncerns. 5. Assists in accident investigatins. 6. Cnducts annual inspectins, as required. Mechanic Respnsibilities: 7. Diagnses cmplex mechanical prblems and determines repair wrk needed. Such diagnses include knwledge and use f specialized testing and diagnstic equipment. 2. Sets up and perates specialized pwer equipment t recnditin engine, transmissin, and related equipment as well as fr such vehicle cmpnents as brakes, batteries, alternatrs, starters, etc. 3. Cnducts cmplete engine and vehicle tune-up using cmputerized and mechanical equipment. 4. Maintains and changes vehicle fluids and filter systems including prper dispsal f such materials.

5 5. Replaces and rebuilds brakes and hydraulic systems and cmpnents, repairs damaged frames, repairs and replaces differentials, drive shafts, frnt end and steering mechanisms. 6. Repairs and/r replaces vehicle electrical cmpnents and trubleshts and repairs electrical system. 7. Perfrms required lcal, state, and federal vehicle inspectins and safety checks. 8. Maintains equipment and tls. 9. Cnducts rad tests and assures effectiveness and safety f repair. 10. May supervise r direct helpers and ther staff in perfrming the abve wrk.
