5 Abut OBE Organic OBE Organic is Australia s ldest rganic beef marketing supply chain. We were funded in the early 1990s by utback Australian grazing families with the fresight t have their vast, naturally rganic prperties certified by independent auditrs as being rganic. We are still farmer-wned, and are run n cperative principles t maximise returns t prducers. We are based in Brisbane where we emply ten peple; currently we have n Abriginal and Trres Strait Islander staff. Frm ur Brisbane ffice, we buy cattle frm certified rganic cattle prducers, predminantly in the Lake Eyre Basin in Queensland, New Suth Wales and Suth Australia. These prducers run ver 60,000 cattle acrss mre than seven millin hectares (that s abut the size f Tasmania) f certified rganic grasslands. Our beef is sld t Nrth America, Asia, the Middle East, and dmestically. Our missin is t prvide safe fd t families f the wrld. Nvember

6 Abut ur Recnciliatin Actin Plan We are develping a RAP because we think we can effect scial change thrugh ur initiatives, and because we think a mre deliberate fcus n building relatinships and respect will make us mre aware f pprtunities that can mutually benefit ur business and Abriginal and Trres Strait Islander peple. Our RAP is cnsistent with ur values and aligned t ur strategic pririties. Scial justice and encuraging diversity have lng been central t OBE s values. Develping a RAP t increase understanding and respect f Abriginal peples is a natural extensin f hw we live these values. Our RAP is cnsistent with ur lngterm strategic pririties. Our sustainability prgram, FLOURISH, manages many pprtunities and risks. One pprtunity FLOURISH has identified is t cntinue advcating fr increased diversity, because we knw encuraging a range f thinking and prviding equal pprtunities fr everyne in ur supply chain will benefit us. This RAP helps us t capture that pprtunity. And by aligning ur RAP t natinal and internatinal gals as well, we are mre likely t play ur part in achieving real change. 7 We aim t leverage ur strengths t make the biggest impact Our RAP wrk is fcused n the peratins f OBE Organic, and aims t make a genuine cntributin t Clsing the Gap. As a small business with limited resurces but a relatively large sphere f influence, we think the Clsing the Gap area we can make the largest initial impact is Appreciating ur Natinal Culture. This RAP shws hw we aim t d that by: Raising ur emplyee s cultural awareness t increase respect fr Abriginal and Trres Strait Islander peples and pride in their culture Building relatinships with ther rganisatins t share ur RAP experiences and ideas Leveraging ur cmmunicatin platfrms t shw thers utside ur cmpany the jurney we are taking. In time, we hpe t make a meaningful cntributin t tw ther Clsing the Gap areas that are relevant t ur cre business: Emplyment, and Ecnmic Develpment. This RAP includes actins t investigate pprtunities fr indigenus emplyment and prcurement. We expect there will be challenges and expect we will learn a great deal. At all times thugh, ur intentins will be psitive. 13 RAP Wrking Grup terms f reference The OBE Organic RAP Wrking Grup supprts the implementatin f ur RAP. It is cmprised f Dalene Wray (OBE Organic Managing Directr); Jyleen Bth (a Wangkangurru wman and an OBE Organic prducer frm Murnpewie Statin in nrth east Suth Australia); Amy Brks (a Wulli Wulli wman wh has ver ten years experience in the Australian beef and fd industry), and; Chris Csgrve (OBE Organic sustainability adviser). In time, ther OBE staff will be invlved in the Wrking Grup. The fllwing activities will be carried ut by the RAP wrking grup: 1. Develp a RAP within the cntext f ur rganisatin s cre business and in-line with ver-arching strategic, crprate and business plans 2. Establish a cllabrative/cnsultative prcess fr engaging staff acrss the rganisatin s that they can prvide: Ideas fr the RAP Cmment n drafts. 3. Develp a prject plan and timeline t develp, launch and begin implementing the RAP, including cnsultatin with Recnciliatin Australia at regular intervals. 4.
