2 delivering QUALITY to communities From the very first day of its launch in 1989, Probuild Construction directors Michael Simmonds, Nicholas and Phillip Buck set objectives that determined the path that the business would follow to achieve the highest standards of quality consistently through all divisions. A cornerstone of the company s business approach was to secure opportunities to provide communities with quality, affordable housing while creating work for SME s and local communities. To this end, our Affordable Housing Division was launched in 2009 manned by an exceptional team dedicated to meet the specific needs of this market segment. With a strong corporate culture based on delivery through a holistic, integrated approach to projects backed by an experienced management team, Probuild has grown into a company with an excellent track record in the construction, civils and housing sectors of the South Africa market. An ethos based on the highest ethical standards permeates our entire, purpose-driven business. 5 OUR APPROACH In our Affordable Housing Division, we have developed a unique, tailor-made construction tracking and quality assurance system that has been designed to ensure the following: stringent on-site quality control of every aspect through to the signing off of the finished product the correct specification and correct quantities of materials for each individual house strict adherence to National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) and National Building regulations we pre-inspect units together with clients and then de-snag all defects recorded. Strict adherence to these principles enables us to offer our principals and affordable home owners and residents a construction experience with a difference that includes: 1 stringent controls, management disciplines and best practice systems 2 the follow up of strategically important information to ensure cost-effective and scheduled construction

8 The highly experienced and well qualified management team in the Affordable Housing Division is headed by Jacques Dreyer, who has 18 years of experience in the construction industry. Our investment in training and advancement is ongoing, both within the company and on projects in which we provide employment for people from local communities. The Affordable Housing Division is committed to investing in people to local small and medium enterprises by ensuring that: local authorities and civic organisations are canvassed to identify potential employees sub-contractors and labour used on projects are drawn from local communities whenever possible on-site training is provided to all S.M.E s who require upgrading of skills local entrepreneurs and sub-contractors are earmarked ongoing employment is offered to new recruits who show potential Our site management team ensures that quality construction standards are strictly adhered to by local S.M.E s working with us on affordable housing projects Our clients know and appreciate that we have the knowledge, experience and commitment to deliver affordable housing projects that meet the needs unequivocally of new owners and tenants.

On all affordable housing projects and throughout our operations we adhere to: strict compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, industry regulations and codes of practice in order to maintain the highest possible standards of safety non-negotiable standards of quality control and adherence to product, service and safety levels.
