We are a natinally fcused highperfrmance centre reaching all regins f NSW with an Olympic and Paralympic training facility based at Sydney Olympic Park. In partnership with the natinal high-perfrmance sprt system (NIN) and natinal and state sprting bdies we enable, impact and supprt targeted athletes, caches and perfrmance supprt staff t prepare fr internatinal cmpetitin. Perfrmance is at the centre f all that we d, and ur peple are ur greatest perfrmance advantage. NSWIS is cmmitted t prviding leadership develpment pprtunities at every level f the rganisatin, eligible staff may be cnsidered fr Prjects and/r Higher Duties where available and agreed. ROLE PURPOSE This rle cmprises prvisin f Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement supprt t athletes and their caches in the areas f career, educatin and mental health/wellbeing services with the gal f imprving the athlete s ability t effectively navigate the critical transitin pints thrughut and beynd their sprt career, as part f an integrated multi-disciplinary team fr allcated sprts. KEY CHALLENGES Deliver wrld class athlete wellbeing & engagement technical expertise, services and supprt t athletes and their caches which psitively impacts athlete perfrmance at internatinal benchmark events Delivery f NSO athlete wellbeing & engagement framewrks designed t maintain the athletes intrinsic mtivatin and fcus n success in their sprt; make a psitive transitin int life after sprt; cmmunicate authentically and psitively abut their life experiences in sprt and transitin int life after sprt Supprt and integrate the athlete wellbeing cmpnent within athlete individualised perfrmance planning prcesses in cntext f the high-perfrmance envirnment Adpt an individualised case management apprach when assessing athlete needs and refer apprpriately Maintain cntemprary knwledge f scial issues impacting sprt Encurage NSWIS and NSO perfrmance teams t cnsider athlete wellbeing when making strategy and peratinal decisins Adapting ways f wrking t include crss discipline delivery f services requiring liaisn with discipline expertise Wrking in a fast paced, cmplex multi-sprt and multi-discipline high perfrmance envirnment Wrking within a restricted resurce envirnment Wrking cllabratively with multiple stakehlders and varying agendas Page 1 f 5
