3 About the course Course objectives EY Training s Emotional Intelligence workshop is designed to provide participants with the tools needed to be emotionally intelligent in the workplace. An employee with high emotional intelligence can manage his or her own impulses, communicate with others effectively, manage change well, solve problems, and use humor to build rapport in tense situations. These employees also have empathy, remain optimistic even in the face of adversity, and are gifted at educating and persuading. Course outcomes Define and practice self-management, self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, and empathy Understand, use and manage your emotions Verbally communicate with others Successfully communicate with others in a non-verbal manner Identify the benefits of emotional intelligence Relate emotional intelligence to the workplace Balance optimism and pessimism Effectively impact others Methodology The course includes: Assessments (EQ assessment and mini assessments upon completion of each module) Lecture style presentation (minimal) Experiential learning via problem solving exercises (individual and group) Role-plays Discussions Group activities (example: debates, poster presentations, etc.) Assessments and toolkits The course will include a pre-assessment of the participant s current emotional intelligence skills. The scores generated from this self-assessment will be used to inform their action plans Participants will also leave the course with a toolkit designed to help them sustain their learning. The toolkits serve as a quick reference guide, scenarios and customized action plans designed to help learners continuously sharpen their skills by applying the tools and techniques learned during the course Emotional Intelligence 3

Cancellation and refund policy A full refund less an administration fee of KWD50 will be given for cancellation requests received up to 5 working days before the event. Cancellations must be made in writing (letter/fax/ ) and reach our office before the 5 working days deadline. Delegates who cancel less than 5 working days before the event, or who don t attend, are liable to pay the full course fee, and no refunds can be given. However, if you wish to attend a subsequent scheduling of the course, and you have paid your course fee in full, you will only be invoiced for 25% of that course fee.
