1 EFB Administratr Rle Summary Rle purpse Reprting t the Manager, Flight Technical, manage the administratin f the peratr s Electrnic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and sftware with reliance f Subject Matter Experts (SME s) t prvide technical infrmatin. The systems that prduce the infrmatin in the Electrnic Flight Bag are wned by the SME wh then authrise the infrmatin t be upladed by the Electrnic Flight Bag Administratr. Using the VARA Safety Management System principles (change management and risk assessment), the Electrnic Flight Bag Administratr shall have input int further develpment f ther functinalities n the Electrnic Flight Bag. Accuntabilities and Key Metrics 1. Reprting Infrmatin reprting t the Manager, Flight Technical Prvide designated reprts required by Flight Operatins Gvernance Structure, including reprting n: EFB Prject Risks particular t EFP EFB meetings and frums 2. EFB Delivery Develp and achieve EFB business gals as defined in the Flight Operatins Business Strategy and Plan and EFB Business Plan. Thrugh EFB gvernance structure, develp initiatives in cllabratin with Flight Operatins stakehlders t cntinuusly imprve and innvate EFB efficiency, cmmensurate with the highest training standards and safety awareness. Drive cntinuus imprvement f EFB systems by using data cntained within cmpany safety management systems. In accrdance with the dcumented data management prcedures, cntrl, manage and track EFB database expiries. Reprting is accurate and n time Ensure that the paperless system is rbust and reliable Clearly demnstrate an up t date revisin cycle Hardware and sftware is dcumented in accrdance with the Hardware Management Prcedures. Ensure that n unauthrised sftware has been installed and that the versin meets with the regulatry requirements and plicies. Rutinely mnitr the EFB system and its administratin including maintaining versight f device updates. Page 01

2 Develp and implement training prcesses fr crew that supprt efficient use f the EFB including nntechnical skills. In accrdance with the dcumented revisin cntrl methds and/r vendr update cycle, update the EFB database ensuring the integrity f the EFB peratin. Cntrl the hardware and cmpnent stcks including validatin f peratin fllwing an EFB repair r replacement Cntrl installed sftware and ensure sftware is fully tested prir t use in flight. Ensure the EFB manual is kept up t date Perfrmance a quality cntrl functin Mnitr data usage Maintenance f Ipad peratinal spares Maintain an awareness f cntracts required t supprt the EFB and be actively invlved in cntract negtiatins 3.
