Office base: Cedar Foundation, An Stóras, Ballybot House, 28 Cornmarket, Newry BT35 8BG The Cedar Foundation, 1 Ravenhill Reach Close, Ormeau Embankment, Belfast BT6 8RB The Cedar Foundation, Balliniska Business Park Springtown Drive, Derry, Co Londonderry BT48 0NA Accountable to: Service Manager, SES Purpose of the Job: Cedar is contracted by the Department the Economy to provide Disability Support for Participants and Training Providers engaged in Training for Success and ApprenticeshipsNI. Bank Project Officers are required to: - provide a flexible range of person-centered assistance and supports to young people with disabilities engaged in Training for Success and ApprenticeshipsNI programmes. - work with Training Providers to enhance the support required by participants with disabilities to help them achieve the best possible outcomes Salary: per hour Hours of Work: As and when required Closing Date: 4pm on Friday 15 th February 2019 Length of Contract: Ongoing

2 Key Duties & Responsibilities: CUSTOMER Provide pre-entry and in-training support to young people with disabilities engaged in vocational training Provide information, support and guidance to organisations delivering vocational training to young people with disabilities Prepare learning materials / activities in line with various learning styles / development needs. Deliver tailored learning activities for young people with disabilities Regularly monitor and review participants, providing support as required both to participants and training providers Liaise with families, carers and other appropriate persons or agencies involved in the support and development of each participant. FINANCIAL Ensure compliance with current financial administrations systems of the Cedar Foundation. Market and promote programmes both externally to key organisations and individuals and internally to relevant service users and staff. Ensure that Cedar programmes operate to prescribed objectives and to activity targets. INTERNAL PROCESSES Ensure an individual development / support plan is developed and implemented for all programme participants. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of participants progress. Prepare monthly update of participants progress for Deputy Head of Service Liaise as appropriate with TO personnel and other partners and comply with administration procedures required. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures - Health & Safety - Risk Management Programme - Programme delivery in line with ISO Quality Management System. Achieve goals and objectives as outlined within service level scorecard and individual workplan. ORGANISATIONAL LEARNING & GROWTH Undertake the Cedar Foundations mandatory and job specific training. Participate in improvement activity within the organisation Undertake any other relevant duties as required. Work closely with Cedar's partners in the Supported Employment Solutions (SES) consortium to share resources, knowledge and expertise

3 Person Specification: ESSENTIAL CRITERIA all applicants MUST be able to demonstrate either at short-listing or at interview all essential criteria listed below. The stage in the process when the criteria will be measured is stated below. The following are essential criteria which will be measured at short listing stage: Criteria Essential Desirable Evidenced By: Education/Training/ Qualifications and Experience Degree or equivalent level professional qualification AND AND Minimum of 1 years experience in delivering training or providing learning support OR Minimum QCF level 3 or equivalent AND Minimum of 3 years experience as above in delivering training or providing learning support Teaching or training qualification Experience of working with people with disabilities or other disadvantaged groups Experience of supporting employers or training organisations Specialist Knowledge & Skills Ability to support young people with behaviours.that challenge Ability to build good rapport with young people. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Circumstances Full current driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full
