As you will undertake duties associated with cleaning and maintenance in a cost effective and efficient manner, whilst ensuring that amenities and services are maintained to the highest possible standard. The roll will require flexibility for the effective operation of the department, with a requirement to work a seven (7) day roster, including weekends and public holidays. To be successful in this position you will need to address the following criteria: Manual driver s licence; Construction white/red card, and or any relevant trade certificates; Previous experience in a similar role, with demonstrated experience in both cleaning and general maintenance; Ability to understand instruction, and effectively work with various cultures; Ability to effectively and efficiently operate within a team environment and work autonomously, and Demonstrated commitment, efficient time management, and ability to problem solve. 2 Position ORGANISATION Description OVERVIEW Phillip Island Nature Parks (Nature Parks) is a leading conservation and ecotourism organisation. Established in 1996 by the State Government of Victoria, the Nature Parks manages over 1,805 hectares of Crown land which includes a variety of coastal reserves, wetlands, and woodlands. Each year the Nature Parks attract over 1.4 million visitors to our five world-class ecotourism attractions including the iconic Penguin Parade, the Antarctic Journey at the Nobbies Centre, Wild Oceans EcoBoat tours, the Koala Conservation Centre and Churchill Island Heritage Farm. JOB SPECIFICATION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES Cleaning In accordance with directions from Ground Services Supervisor/managers A keen eye for detail Maintain cleanliness of all aspects of buildings, including cobwebs Maintenance In accordance with directions from Ground Services Supervisor/managers Manage maintenance Logs, s, and verbal requests Operate plant and equipment in accordance with relevant work place practices and in a safe manner Attend to any OH&S or public safety issues as a matter of urgency Training Attend any identified training requirements Be familiar with staff development review process Attend all staff and team meetings as required Policies and Procedures Maintain understanding of current and developed policies and procedures. Develop and update policies and procedures. Ensure compliance of policies and procedures.

4 Health, Safety and Wellbeing Adhere to safe work method statements. Comply with and follow OH&S work practices. Identify and report workplace hazards. Actively participate in safety and wellbeing activities. Ensuring the safety of all employees, visitors and contractors. Working in an outdoor environment Sitting Standing Walking (including over rough terrain or stairs) Squatting / Kneeling / Bending / Twisting Pushing / Pulling / Lifting / Carrying / Reaching Computer usage (Keyboard/mouse/tablet) Use tools (Shovels, hammers, and motorised hand tools) Operate machinery (Chainsaws, Tractors, and All Terrain Vehicles) Drive a Vehicle (Manual and golf buggy) Low < 5Kgs and/or < 2 hours Moderate 5-10Kgs and/or 2-6 hours High > 10kgs and/or 6-8 hours QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES QUALIFICATIONS/ CERTIFICATES A current Manual driver s licence Construction white/red card Relevant trade certificates First aid certificate Working with heights
