2 Purpose of role: This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of promoting Brooke s evidence-led approach in line with our Theory of Change. By identifying and collating technical facts, case studies and data from a variety of global projects, you will develop a compelling narrative that illustrates the value and relevance of working equine welfare to international humanitarian issues. Working with the Head of Communications you will develop audience-led communication plans to drive forward Brooke s professional visibility and thoughtleadership programme among our target audiences in development sector. Key tasks and responsibilities: Act as key liaison with international colleagues to source information on activities relating to our key work strands. Draw together technical data from a variety of projects to demonstrate the value and relevance of working equine welfare to humanitarian issues, particularly livelihood strategies, food and water security and complex settings where animal and human welfare is severely compromised, particularly brick kilns. Work with our Senior Media Officer Identify media opportunities to promote progress with our global projects and their relevance to development issues. Work closely with our Global External Affairs team to horizon scan and produce related content that summarises and makes accessible our technical policy activities. Support the Head of Communications in the implementation of our public engagement and other relevant communication plans. Quickly grasp complex issues in order to provide clear, concise and thought-provoking material including articles, briefings, social content and opinion pieces. 3 End to end management and promotion of small to medium-sized events Manage the production of high quality content for academic and development conferences, in collaboration with our International Research, External Affairs and Global Animal Health and welfare teams Work closely with our performance and evaluation team to expand our library of project case studies that best illustrate our development-led approach and sustainable outcomes within our theory of change Develop briefing documents enabling colleagues to deliver key message and strengthen Brooke s position on key issues.
