Program Overview Investing in Women was initiated in 2016 by the Australian Government, in partnership with the private sector, to catalyse inclusive economic growth in South East Asia through greater harnessing of the productive capacity of women and their economic empowerment. Investing in Women is being implemented in the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Myanmar. The program s head office located in Manila. The program s goals are: 1. More businesses achieve gender equality in their workplace 2. Impact investing in women s SMEs has increased 3. Government partners take steps towards removing barriers to women s economic empowerment 4. Public attitudes are more supportive of women s economic empowerment.

The Diversity and Inclusion Expert will provide advice and support to the 4 Business Coalitions to enable them to lead effective organizational change process which advances gender equality, through facilitation, clear communications, and appropriate, effective interventions. The Diversity Expert will act as a resource to BC and HR leaders within member firms during preparation for EDGE certification and the development and implementation of gender action plans. Using data gathered from member firms via the EDGE Methodology they will identify opportunities to improve talent management and development, employee relations and company reputation and overall performance. The Diversity and Inclusion Expert also will provide individualized expert advice to companies on strategies that contribute to accelerating progress in gender equality that positively impact business performance and outcomes. Reporting to the Business Partnerships Director and working closely with the Training and Development Manager they will travel to Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar to work both with BC staff and member companies. Additionally, they will provide advice on workplace gender equality to IW staff and partners for example Australian Department of

4 Specific Duties: Core Competencies: Foreign Affairs and Trade DFAT or implementing partners from the Advocacy and Impact Investing components of IW. 1. The D&I Expert will use their thorough understanding of the drivers for change within the private sector to create insights internally to the IW team and externally to partners on how gender diversity contributes to business results, as well as to People and HR strategies 2. Review EDGE reports from companies and use data to identify opportunities to improve company performance via improved workplace gender equality 3. Advise BC staff on strategies to enhance company performance and together work with companies to develop action plans, and support and monitor implementation. 4. Identify and capacitate BC staff to use complementary tools to measure performance such as Pay Gap analysis and rapid Assessment tools 5. Together with the IW MEL team analyse data from BC firms to track WGE in the 4 countries and identify successful strategies to advance change 6. Provide expert consultancy on diversity and inclusion, specifically workplace gender equality services to companies where required sourcing and creating knowledge products on WGE 7. Maintain a close relationship with EDGE strategy, keeping abreast on developments related to the EDGE methodology 8. Develop and deliver training to IW, BC staff and companies on performance measures and strategies to advance WGE 9. Contribute to strategic work planning and implementation of program activities in order to deliver program contract. 10. Support the preparation of Annual Plans, Progress Reports and other reporting as required. 11. Support monitoring, evaluation, learning and research activities as required. 12. 5 Requirements: Key Deliverables Required: An experienced Diversity and Inclusion Practitioner with a minimum of 8 years experience, including at senior level Candidate have applied experience with best practices and emerging trends within the private sector for advancing diversity and inclusion and have demonstrated customizing and applying these to diverse organizations Knowledge of range of metrics to measure workplace gender equality with experience of interpreting results Proven experience in providing advice to private sector companies on best practices that ensure equity and achievement of organizational D&I objectives in a variety of HR areas, including but not limited to recruiting and staffing, OD, work and life balance, succession planning, training/ development, and performance management Understands and is current on global and local trends/ changes and how they inform and influence D&I Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English Gathers and uses competitive intelligence Understands diverse customer/client needs Desirable: Experience of working in Asia Knowledge of Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesian, Burmese or Vietnamese Experience of working with Business networks or Coalitions Previous experience of using EDGE Methodology A Strategic Work Plan and Performance document to be developed with the manager within the first month of engagement in the role. Key Selection Criteria For your application to be considered by the panel, interested applicants must submit a response to each of the following Key Selection Criteria: 1. Minimum 8 years experience of leading D&I initiatives in a range of private sector companies 2. Demonstrated success in providing expert services on diversity and inclusion, particularly in workplace gender equality services, to companies 3. Diverse experience in leading change to achieve Workplace Gender Equality within the private sector, demonstrating the ability to customise approaches to different contexts. 4. Experience in undertaking diversity audits and developing related action plans to improve performance

6 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural team.
