Selection Criteria Please briefly address each criterion individually in a cover letter bullet points or short paragraphs are OK Essential Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action. Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications (minimum CHC43015 Cert IV in Ageing Support) TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Significant practical experience in classroom facilitation A minimum of 3 years experience in working with people who have complex needs requiring a person-centred approach to care Practical understanding of the requirements of working in an aged care environment including the Aged Care Quality Standards, legislative requirements and relevant policies and guidelines. Class C Drivers license Demonstrated ability to liaise well with key stakeholders such as operational managers, care managers, clinicians, careworkers, and Hammond College colleagues Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Empathy and patience. Intermediate proficiency using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to enter data into a database following instruction. 3 2. Context and Scope HammondCare is an independent Christian charity that exists to improve quality of life for people in need. We specialise in aged and dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, mental health services for older people, and other related health and aged care services. HammondCare seeks to embed evidence based best practice in its services and we provide these services through home care, subacute hospitals and residential aged care. Bringing these health, hospital and aged care services together, HammondCare has been able to develop innovative, flexible care models designed to serve people with complex health or aged care needs, regardless of their circumstances. HammondCare works to provide its staff with support, career development opportunities, education, responsibility and recognition, work/life balance, and satisfying roles. Summary of the role The Hammond College Educator is an integral member of the Hammond College team. It is a central role, working within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare, to support the delivery of programs that meet education priorities across HammondCare. The incumbent will work alongside other members of the Hammond College team to ensure they equally deliver on projects and key priorities throughout the year. This is a part time role (3 days per week) covering the NSW far South and ACT with occasional travel to Sydney as required. The essence of this role includes: Actively participating in the Hammond College team to support the delivery of programs that meet education priorities across HammondCare. Ensuring the facilitation of learning is underpinned by and supports HammondCare s Mission and Mission in Action and model of care. Supporting the delivery of the CHC33015 Cert III in Individual Support and CHC43015 Cert IV in Ageing Support (including maintaining the relevant training qualification TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, qualification). Supporting program development, new site orientation/implementations, and the delivery of learning that meets the needs of HammondCare staff Maintaining the training records system provided by Hammond College Traveling between HammondCare sites and services to support the face to face facilitation of learning.

4 Key Accountabilities Key Accountability Capability Responsibilities/Task 1.0 Training Delivery Mission in Action Delivering results Excellence in Work Deliver structured, flexible, relevant and interesting training sessions and assist all learners regardless of level to achieve their learning goals Deliver training from the suite of corporately provided training programs including but not limited to: o Corporate Orientation o Practical Workshops o Accredited Training Programs o Leadership Development Programs o Development Days o Basic Care and Annual Update Programs o In-services o Other programs as required Conduct assessment for Accredited training 2.0 Ensure quality development, delivery and evaluation of education programs and responsive training that meet the needs of HammondCare. Mission in Action Providing Leadership Delivering Results Excellence in Work Participate in moderation/validation sessions as required. Prepare for, conduct and document both training delivery and assessment procedures, using approved training delivery plans. Support students to complete their units/courses as per their training plans and course schedules. Use the College s evaluation processes aligned with HammondCare s Quality Improvement Framework to capture identified improvement needs in education programs.

5 3.0 Ensure compliance with Hammond College And Hammond Care RTO record keeping requirements Mission in Action Delivering Results Excellence in Work Participate in the entry of College education data into Monitor and report on emerging trends and needs. Complete and maintain all RTO training records accurately, mark assessments and document results and submit to the appropriate Manager upon assessment for input into the RTO student management system. Report to and inform the appropriate Manager in regard to student welfare, student attendance and course progress. Support managers in ensuring staff complete all Hammond Care mandatory education required for their role. Participate in internal and external contractual audits for the RTO required by the Federal and State Training Authorities and undertake follow up actions as required with the appropriate Manager. Keep abreast of rules and regulations and accreditation procedures for the aged care industry and the VET sector.

Participate in the Annual Development Meeting process. Participate pro-actively and constructively in the development of a Personal and Professional Development Plans, targeting professional growth and areas of interest. Maintain and report on vocational competencies and currency in industry and the VET sector as required by the RTO
