2 Purpose The School Applications training program supports learning and provides technical support for all Broward County Public School Employees. Staff is presented with opportunities to becoming proficient and effective users of school applications integrated throughout the District. Training is geared to ensure support staff have highly reliable training and access to the digital tools that lead to efficient and effective business operations. The objective is to provide excellent role-based training so end users understand how data systems impact the tasks assigned to their positions, use business systems to perform assigned job functions, demonstrate their proficiency to perform job functions, and share skills learned with other staff to help them to acquire or enhance their knowledge. The ultimate goal of School Applications training is to provide role-based training and support to end-users, which includes student data applications, TERMS and External. The training will engage end-users to efficiently and effectively perform the duties based on their specific role(s). Needs Assessment All non-instructional staff who are assigned a specific role are required to complete the specific training offered in support of that role ( role-based training ). School Applications Department monitor completion of professional development in support of each assigned role. In addition, as a systemic form of organizational support, 173 IMTs support elementary and middle schools and 66 Information Management Specialists support high schools, centers, and community schools, so IMTs and IMSs need to learn to use the system learned to help other staff acquire or enhance their knowledge. Directors, Principals and Assistant Principals need to learn skills associated with their roles as administrative approvers. Table 1 on the following page displays a summary of professional learning completion by course title and all groups of job titles for which there were ten or more total enrollments. Demonstrates basic school application skills needing assistance with basic applications or transactions. 1.2 Desired Outcome: Uses SAP Business Applications to perform assigned job functions Demonstrates use of school applications based on their role. Applies knowledge to complete appropriate job-related tasks. Proposes new ways to use knowledge to improve office operations. Always seeks out better and more efficient ways to use school applications. Uses school applications to efficiently complete their job functions and improve the business operations of the school or department. Able to navigate specific modules.
