4 PROGRAM INTRODUCTION A project s success or failure is strongly influenced by how well it meets its stakeholders expectations and its perceived values. A project is considered successful if it delivers perceived values to the stakeholders. Effective Stakeholder Management has long been a key differentiator for the truly great project managers and organizations to thrive when engaging effectively with different stakeholders. Stakeholders participation in projects is a must for their success. Unfortunately one of the main challenges is that stakeholders choose to remain indifferent to the working processes of projects and are more interested in getting the results. Their diminished interest in their working has caused more and more projects to fail. Ultimately, this will result in lost productivity due to the absence of stakeholder acceptance and unnecessary opportunity costs arising from the escalation of conflicts and inability to avoid delays or disruptions. The two-day comprehensive program will show you how to develop an effective stakeholder engagement strategy that can better drive organizational performance and deliver greater value for all stakeholders. You will learn how to better understand stakeholder needs and manage expectations by creating an engagement map for effective stakeholder identification and analysis. You will also learn how to increase the level of support from unsupportive stakeholders and negotiate for a win-win outcome every time through the Harvard Method of Negotiation. To prepare you in the event of a dispute, you will learn how to solve conflicts and problems that arise among stakeholders and strengthen your ability to obtain buy-in from a wide range of stakeholders.
