1 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Location: Delivery Assistant (prisons) Base Bolton (for team meetings/training). Services delivered across the North of England (Cumbria & North East, North West and York & Humber). Where relevant, working from home is an option Salary: 25,000 Grade: Grade 6 Hours: Various hours (welcome part time/full time applicants) Type of Contract: Permanent Accountable/Responsible to: Senior Delivery Lead/Delivery lead Staff Accountable to Postholder: n/a Our Values: The post holder will be expected to operate in line with our workplace values which are: People Powered Bold Effective Thoughtful Job Purpose: The role will support prisoners to form Health Councils in Northern Prisons enabling their views and voice to be expressed and influence service delivery in respect of their healthcare. The post holder will be working with challenging groups within varying categories of prisons, leading on service user engagement whilst ensuring delivering safe and secure services. Duties and Responsibilities Organise and facilitate Health councils

2 To identify and maintain effective channels of communications with service users Manage service resource allocation (e.g. equipment etc.) Plan and schedule timelines Track project deliverables and outcomes according to KPIs Identify and delegate service changes and interventions to achieve service output Support horizon scanning for new funding streams and initiatives. Where directed attend networking events to broaden business opportunities and promote the ethos and vision of ABL Health. Analyze and report on service user feedback including minute taking; capturing views and data in an effective manner Present performance reports pertaining to activity, plan delivery and financial spend Standard Information Information Governance Employees of ABL Health must comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act The postholder must not; either during the course of their employment, or following termination of their employment, disclose any information relating to service users or employees, or of the lawful business practices, of the organisation. The postholder will be required, when and where appropriate to the role, to comply with the processing of requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 The postholder must comply with ABL s policies that protect the information assets of the organisation from unauthorised disclosure, modification, destruction, inappropriate access or use. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining the clinical and/or corporate records that fall within the remit of this role to the standards in ABL s records management policies, and data quality processes and standards. Health & Safety Compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 the postholder is required to fulfil a proactive role towards the management of risk in all of their actions. This entails the risk assessment of all situations, the taking of appropriate actions and reporting of all incidents, near misses and hazards, and a statutory duty of care for their own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. Training The postholder must attend any training that is identified as mandatory to their role. 4 Job Title: Delivery Assistant (Prisons) PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications and experience ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE METHOD OF ASSESSMENT Experience of the Application criminal justice system Form/ Interview/ and/or other Certificates/Ass associated systems as essment a service user Educated to A Level standard or can demonstrate equivalent work experience Experience of working with challenging groups of service users with the ability and motivation to harness this experience positively Skills & Knowledge Experience of facilitating groups/teams towards desired outcome within a work setting or otherwise Demonstrate the ability to establish alliances and partnerships that have delivered successful shared outcomes (whether in a work setting or otherwise) Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels, with individuals, groups, organisations and the public. Effective note taker ensuring ability to draw out key points Ability to deal calmly and effectively with conflict Ability to work with groups from different backgrounds and cultures Excellent organisational skills with the ability to Knowledge and understanding of service user groups for example women s services, young offenders, substance misuse, mental health
